Picture of the Day - Orlando

I used my new AF-S DX Nikkor 35mm f/1.8G lens today and I had to post both of these since I really don't want to waste another day posting a picture from a terrible attraction. The first picture really doesn't have much to look at, but if you've seen the show you know that this is pretty accurate to what this part looks like on stage (it's also the best part of the show!). These pictures were HAAARD to get -- I took probably 20 pictures and only six turned out decent.

I used my new Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II lens. I shot it in Av mode. Shutter speed: 0.067 sec (1/15) and ISO: 1600. :thumbs:

Did you adjust the exposure compensation at all? Doesn't look like it, but next time try it at -1 or -2 and it should come out even better. It's a good picture though. I rarely ever see pictures of it. :thumbs:

Here's the best I could get of this scene. I couldn't get the shot directly in front of it because it wouldn't focus fast enough.

Really?! Wow, turned out really bright for being -2. When you took this picture were you on the outside? I tried to get this shot sitting on the outside but I think I might have been too close (more so than too dark) for it to focus. Where were you sitting?

On the outside. But it was RIGHT when those strobes started flashing. So that could have been it too.
