I guess this explains the new Butterbeer cups, from @Attractions:

So the original mugs are definitely gone for good huh? Glad I bought one when I did then!

Are those made of glass? If so, I think I prefer these.

Not definitely but at least for a while it seems. This was also from @attractions: "Bartender in Hogs Head Pub said he doesn't know if they'll be getting the Butterbeer mugs back in stock. "

According to @FLallday, they are the same material.

Said they went through a 2-year supply of the mugs already. http://twitpic.com/26kgzy

Who said this? No successful business keeps a two year supply of ANYTHING. That would imply that they had a 10 year supply of pigmy puffs. This is Disney bus driver bosh. At best, they might have had a 2-4 month supply depending on how sales went, which they could only estimate... but that would be pushing it as that is not how businesses work.

So, everyone trust me. This is bus driver rumor without fact or merit.

I think Butterbeer was the one product they would have expected to sell a ton of. I don't know if it was poor planning, or what that caused them to sell out of the mugs. At any rate, I'm just glad to have scored one. I'm not particularly fond of the newer cups.

I think the new ones are fine, they remind me of a pilsner which is cool, but I think Universal drastically underestimated the amount of people willing to pay $10 for the mug.

Mugs

I'm disappointed to hear they sold out of butterbeer mugs. The cups are okay, but in the books it came in a mug/stein, not a cup. I can't believe they thought they had enough to last two years.

i don't know if this was mentioned anywhere else but i did get a butterbeer mug at the park when i went on the 8th of August. I also saw that pygmy puffs were in stock. The line to get into Dervish and Banges seemed like it took longer to get into than FJ (which was about 30 min for me with a posting time of 45). i got a ravenclaw shirt, hogwarts hoodie, two ravenclaw keychains (one spins in the middle the other says Ravenclaw quidditch), 3 hogwarts crest keychains, a slytherin crest keychain, a ravenclaw pin, a ravenclaw tie lanyard, a chocolate frog( hufflepuff :( ), a sugar quill. a box of bertie botts, ravenclaw quidditch magnet, and a box of pink coconut ice. The pink coconut ice tastes awful and leaves an oily filmy feeling in your mouth XP. I wanted a ravenclaw hat but unfortunately they are sold out. I even tried the universal store, the trading company, and the universal studios store on city walk. They still have the other three houses however.

Yes yes, we established that on the official WWoHP thread, however, we are aware that they recently restocked! Thanks for the update though! (I hope they still have Hufflepuff hats when I go!!!)

I'm really curious how the Wizarding World candy tastes. It bums me out that everything is so expensive, because now I won't be able to try everything...I kinda wish you could buy small portions of the candy that's actually from the books. But anyway, is the stuff yummy? I will be so mad if they used cheapy, cardboard chocolate for the frogs.

I'd be curious to hear how other food tastes too, like the cauldron and rock cakes.

Everything I've tasted from Honeydukes and Three Broom sticks has been delicious. The cohoclate in the frogs and bars is of good quality, and the Cauldron cakes are superb. I really like the strawberry and peanut butter ice cream too. Everything I haven't had yet looks good too.

And you can get plastic bags to fill with things from dispensers and jars, many of which are canon.

I thought the only canon candy available to put in bags is the beans?

I can't remember it all, but I know there was more. Ex. blood pops, and from the movies is Clippy's Clippings (licorice). There's more though, I remember.

Hello everyone, I have a few questions..

My family's going in March (I believe the 11th-14th..) and I would like to confirm some things before we go.

1) Do the "deluxe brooms" (250$ Nimbus 2001 & 300$ Firebolt) stay in stock or are they hard to find in stock?
EDIT : I am really considering purchasing the Firebolt, so if anybody knows or has seen an abundance of them in stock I'd love to know!

2) Can Lucius Malfoy's walking stick/wand be confirmed that it is indeed for sale in Filch's/Dervish?

3) Are the Character wands in Ollivander Boxes (from Noble Collection) or the smaller ones that have plastic made to fit the wand? I'm wondering because I found a website displaying both.

http://www.wizardingworldharrypotter.com/shops/dervish-banges

As soon as I'm back I'll post any of the merch I get :)!

1) I have never seen the real brooms on display, so I assume they're in storage so they don't get damaged.

2) I have never seen Lucius's stick but they sometimes have Moody's out.

3) All wands are in boxes with the Ollivanders logo on them.

Well I know they've got Chocolate Frogs, Bertie Botts Every Flavor Beans, I believe they've got Acid Pops and sugar quills, along with cauldron cakes, and I know there's more I can't think of at the moment. Quite a bit of candy is canon... Oh, I believe they've got Fizzing Whizbees but they messed up the name rotfl... I love how a lot of the merch is canon, from the movies and the books... The candy is as well, it's awesome :D

From what I remember most of the Potter Merchandise is mainly in WWOHP. There is some at Universal But not sure about City Walk.
