Finally got to ride Fallon. Like everybody says, the queue area is brilliant and gorgeous. The second time I went on, I deliberately skipped my turn to enjoy the free, insanely fast charging ports (seriously, theme parks, more of this!), tabletop games and Ragtime Gals. The only minor quibble I have is that there are no charging ports by the stage, so I had to disconnect to watch them for a bit along with Hashtag. The VL is working rather flawlessly and it was almost immediate for incoming guests, making for a massive turnaround that had the upstairs quite empty for many minutes. It was such an escape from the heat and crowds. I can't gush about it enough... but there's also a ride.
The preshow is fun but a bit awkward with its applause sign: guests kept applauding for two seconds before stopping when realizing how absurd it was. The actual attraction reminds me a lot of those old Douglas Trumbull IMAX ridefilm simulators. They have one at the Adventuredome where I live. Here's what it looks like:
Pretty similar, right? The difference is this one is super sized, in 3D and bizarrely smooth. To the point of being almost not thrilling at all. The pizza scent doesn't work, period. But the 3D is decent and image quality is fine, I'm just kinda whatever on it. People really do seem to love it tho. Nothing but raves.
