They aren't trying. Just moving along well. Timeline still stands as of now.

And wasn't it originally rumored that the timeline was for Early 2017? Is that still technically possible, or may this be possibly unlikely now?

Yes, but I'm not sure I understand your question.. It's ahead of schedule but doesn't mean they are trying to make it so or looking to bump up the opening date.

Then I meant to say if there was any possible delay's that could prevent the early 2017 timeframe. But I think I already got my answer.

My understanding is that this is moving pretty quickly because they had a delayed start, so everything was ready to install when they started. I've heard they've had the costumes in house for over a year.

That makes sense and is also good news. I used to be a big hater of this project, but love trumps hate and that's why I'm voting for Clinton :peace:.

Seriously though, I'm excited for something new and even if its a shitty 3d motion based attraction, once this project is done then that opens up resources for the next one to begin (both construction wise and capacity wise).

From ORLParkPass,

Seems like both sides are getting some sort of second façade ontop of the current one being built.

I'm referring to the new pieces being added ontop of the new structure in-front of the attraction.

I think that is just a coping to support the top of the lower facade not anything structural to support anything up top.
They are just short metal studs.

Perhaps you are right, but I believe @Teebin mentioned a long time ago that we'd see the Rockefeller building for the ride's façade, atleast; as I recall.

Atleast; I can be wrong about that.

I remember that post. I hope it is more than trompe l'oeil.

Those short metal studs will be acting as support for some Densglass I'm sure, most likely to give the roof along the edge an extra foot or two of height. I believe the second "story" to the facade that Teebin has mentioned will be closer to the wall of the soundstage, to add some depth.

The biggest issue I have if this is another motion base is that from park entrance down that main drag, it's a majority of motion simulation attractions(minions, shrek to an extent, this). Which leads to a bigger problem with Universal in ride repetition(beating a dead horse I know). I just would have liked to see something different. Upgrade over twister yes, but I don't think it will stay very long

One thing they could always do with these types of attractions if they become old subjects is to do a new film and the guts of the attraction remain. Despicable Me case in point. So I think the attraction will be there for a good while since it's basically a new build for all intents and purposes, though the subject matter may end up changing in a decade.

Better than "cheaply shove something current and popular in a classic ride without any regard to theming," but it probably says something that I don't really care for DM or Shrek.

You are right, they should get rid of those attraction and put shops in there like DHS and MK. That is so much better, right.
