The really important thing in all this is how they are OVER their revenue numbers from 2019 but on 10% lower attendance. They've figured out how to further up their (already good) per cap spending. Their parks have always had some of the highest in park spending levels.

Disney and Universal are both up from 2019, too. The difference though is that Disney is mostly up because of increased spending due to higher prices. Universal raised prices by a crap ton for HHN, too. Unless I haven't been paying attention, SeaWorld is still rather cheap and hasn't gone the route of raising prices (at least not too much), which means there's still more room for growth.

They've been steadily raising all their prices as well, but they've also been doing a better job of bringing back their passholders and getting them to spend more than comparable regional park chains. The festivals and their food and drink offerings have done quite well.

Maybe we've been underestimating Seaworld's potential based on their defensive behavior during the pandemic? With Howl-O-Scream Orlando, big strides away from Orca branding and animal-based entertainment, and projects continously in motion over there, maybe we see some ground being reclaimed in the central Florida space?

They could easily continue to press the pedal down on unique/prototype coasters and continue to offer a more relaxed atmosphere than the two bigs

Especially with Disney intentionally pushing us normies away

The elements that were slashed during the dark times and post pandemic aren't really missed IMO

Also their events are legitimately more enjoyable versions of their counterparts at Uni and Disney and I only see that improving

SeaWorld Q1 report is out and it looks like really strong numbers (again) surpassing the Q1 of 2019 (pre-pandemic). Impressive per-cap of nearly $80...

Good to see SeaWorld slowly becoming successful again. It's not my kind of park, but it's important that Disney & Universal have a bit of meaningful competition.

It serves its niche well. And with WDW/UOR hiking prices, and WDW adding hoop after hoop to visit, that niche is growing fast.

They really figured out the "cater to the locals/passholders" thing.

In the early pre-Blackfish days, the SeaWorld Parks would often try to emulate the Disney/Universal parks in order to attract them away for a day

Now I believe they've caught on to the fact that they don't have to do that and can save a whole lot more capital not trying to be Disney, but providing something Disney doesn't

Also Disney shedding a teensy bit of passholders will be a huge blessing for SWP, at least in FL
