Six Flags Fourth Quarter Results;
......................................................Attendance Down 3%.....Revenue Down 3%.....Net loss of $11 million
Six Flags 2019 Annual Report Results;
......................................................2% Increase in Total Attendance, BUT, Six Flags added 5 parks to the chain, thus inflating that percentage...(Therefore, attendance probably declined at the old parks)
......................................................2019 Net Income: Down $179 million
......................................................Per Capita Guest Spending Overall Declined $.21 to $42.37 Total (Admissions $24.86 decrease of $.44 .....& In Park Spending $17.51 increase $.23)
......................................................Stated they will probably not derive any income from the failed China agreement in 2020. Their Chinese development partner defaulted on payments.

Things are not looking good for Six Flags right now: Coronavirus Could Send Six Flags Into Its Second Bankruptcy

Looks like Jim Ried-Anderson set the pace, retiring early just as things hit the fan.

I think this summer for theme/amusement parks could be one of the worst attended in history if this virus stuff doesn't settle down in the next month. People will simply just not go or everything will be at major discounts. Very worrisome

Or the virus could ease off and it turns into a BIG summer for the parks. I still remember huge crowds at the regional parks right after 9/11. People weren't going far, but they wanted an escape. Once the virus is either contained or it has passed through a community you may see people looking to get out of their houses and looking for diversions.
