This was a pre CF merger purchase so it makes sense why it’s coming.

I thought the B&M giga Dive was the pre-merger and the Glider the post-merger (hence when construction stopped)? Then I was going to ask why they switched it from the giga Dive that's now going to SFOT...?

Both were Pre-CF merger. The Decision was also a pre-CF merger decision, I just got my info wrong. Happens.

Am I the only one who thinks SFMM needs to stop building coasters until they can actually run every single coaster they have at the same time, all with multiple trains? It’s kind of a massive problem.

At any given time 3 or so of the most popular rides will be closed because they need to swap out their limited staff, and then every few hours the closed rides change. And most rides in my experience are still only running with 1-2 trains, exponentially increasing wait times even when there aren’t that many people at the park. Admittedly I haven’t been for about a year, but the problem has been going on for a long time

I get that... SF certainly needs to improve their ops. At the same time, with F&F coming to Universal next year, and add the fact SFMM hasn't really added any new rides for a number of years now, they need to be competitive. Saying, "we have better ops, but no new rides" won't drive any new traffic to the park.

As for the ride itself, will it have inversions? Will it swing like Ninja, or be fixed like Batman?

And if I'm reading the plans correctly, it's an odd choice (even for Six Flags) to seemingly leave up all the concrete amphitheater seating.

^ Supposedly that concrete stadium will be converted into a waterfall. If it hasn’t been cut from the budget.

I don't disagree with this, but it's this sort of short-term thinking that has made Magic Mountain a deeply unsatisfying amusement park. I'm not sure what sort of time horizon they're operating on, but I'd sure love to see Six Flags work on improving the guest experience rather than using new attractions as quick fixes.

New ride and improved ops are not mutually exclusive. They can do both by 2026. Especially because Cedar Fair has removed a ton of coasters recently and I doubt Magic Mountain will be spared. Worst case scenario nothing will change.

If I were to pick coasters that could go, it would be Scream, Viper and Superman. Unpopular opinion? I’d probably even be down to get rid of Full Throttle (or extend it, lol).

Scream, Viper, and Riddler’s are my choices for removal.

Regarding this new coaster it’s not something the park needs in its saturated lineup. Will do probably nothing to bring more guests into the park. Similar to WWFC not being much of a draw.

This almost feels like a quick attempt to compete against Hollywood Drift at USH.

We have no idea what this thing is actually like? All we have is an old train picture and a stock layout to base things off of. We should at least wait until we get a preview video.

Also, never underestimate the power of uniqueness. If something is weird people (namely enthusiasts) will come just to see what it's like.

Sooo.... their next coaster is a "inverted/flight" type coaster? Where was this when they wanted to build "Wonder Woman: FLIGHT of Courage"!???

The current coaster should be called "Lasso of Thrills". "Flight of Courage" should be something found on a metropolis/DC universe bar menu

ParkBros has seemingly figured out the layout for the Vekoma Thrill Glider, showing what seems to be a two-launch coaster.

Same. One site said to think of it as TRON but with the track above you. I'm guessing that maybe the train attaches to the bogie by maybe a support between the bikes? I have no idea and couldn't find a concept art picture of the train (though I didn't try that hard).
