The park is closed

During most of the year the park is only open Friday-Monday

Now....does that mean all employees aren't there? I have no idea I heard that many USH TMs still had to come in for nightshfits..so I hope MM lets them not come in because I'm like 30 mins from MM right now and the air is reallllly bad

Ah, good. Didn't realize.

If this fire advances south, they may not have a choice. They're not far from the "set" evacuation areas.

Also an update, on the Six Flags Reddit someone is saying the park will closed Tomorrow

They claim HR is contracting people soon and Edison is going to be doing power outages in the area

Yes that was cool to see. They used the parking lot entrance from MM Pkwy to stage their trucks. Very impressive. The park will be open this weekend. The fire is not as big as it was on Wednesday. The air is clear here. No need for masks or anything.

No need. The heat from the fires made it dry quicker.

five fires and others are saying they are hearing rumors no scream break this year at MM

someone commented on a post saying they are hearing Rumors MM wants to put that budget into fright fest…so here is hoping at least the latter is true and FF gets more money

That'd explain why the site events page hasn't been updated yet, but also that's honestly a little disappointing because the event has a smaller budget than Fright Fest. A more believable reason of NOT doing Scream Break would be the recent/current fires.

The budget increase from $2 to $3 will surely be what Fright Fest needs to take it over the top!

Unlikely, but possible that the fact that Six Flags/Cedar Fair merger is now "active", wouldn't be surprised if that might have something to do with a lack of Scream Break.

It'd also be around the same time that Knotts does Boysenberry Festival.

I agree on your first point the merger makes the most sense on why this wont happen

As for the timing...maybe but makes no sense both events are for different people and I'm assuming FF and Holidays in the parks come back and most likely both parks will have summer events.....so doubt its because they are the same time

Hey don't be too harsh on them. They gotta do what they gotta do. They have to find the funds somehow to take TLOU away from HHN.

It's possible the current coaster construction (& the impending demise of Superman?) could also be a reason for no Scream Break.

It just seems odd the events page hasn't been updated at all for 2025.

Or the Scream Break budget went to the renovation of the old sign at the bottom of the hill
