Just a heads up DC Heroes vs Villains Fest has been moved up to Friday June 5th and goes through the 4th of July

Its only Fridays and Saturdays now and we lost one week of the event

So I'm happy its before it gets superrrr hot but sad to lose a week and pretty sure last year it ran on Sundays...so sorry to the actors only getting two days a week to come out

Looney Tunes land will have a preview this weekend, also the Band Drivin Mama Crazy are back playing on weekends

Looney Tunes land opens officially June 6th

Lots of updates:

• They are back to opening the entire plaza before park opening... I'm figuring this is something they will do on peak days only, as it does require a lot more staffing from them. But it's really, really nice when they do it
• Drop of Doom and Jet Stream are both open again
• Wonder Woman is running 3 trains, Ninja and Revolution 2
• For the new ride, a large pile of dirt has shown up in front of the old Golden Bear steps/seats
• Twisted Pies opened to guests today!

Looney Tunes area open to guests, but it's not 100% finished yet--it's sort of a soft opening (remember, it doesn't officially open until June 6). Many rides are missing signs, what appears to be a play area is still under construction, there's still a few walls etc. That said, it's open enough that they are allowing people in, and most rides are open. What is there looks promising. The area is a lot more open, mostly freshly painted, and has lots of landscaping. I have a thread on Bluesky with a lot of pics. They also finally added a Taz figure to the trails area that opened earlier, as well as added shade coverings to that area. They also added a game to the area, which could liven things up in there a bit more.



Even there's no signage on the building yet, the train is open! It's now Taz's Tasmanian Train Tour, and it's super cute! There's an Australian narration, a few new props, and a sighting of Taz himself on the ride. Also some very funny train "announcements" in the station. While I still feel it could use just a bit more (and maybe more will appear between now and June 6--especially a ride sign, lol), it's definitely a step in the right direction.




Also did a quick run over to Hurricane Harbor. It mostly seems the same, except for the changes I note in the post below. But having an elevator for the Tornado tubes is a huge get!

Some little Details from the land

1) The Fence near the Roadrunner Ride has been painted to a fake Path like in the cartoons
2) On the Taz Path there are many rocks with drawn character faces on it (Marvin, Willie, Bugs, Taz and Daffy)
3) There are also feet marking of Bugs and I believe other characters on the path near the Taz ride
4) Near the Carrot Theater is now a "break room" That said it was a broom closet, then Bugs Dressing room and now Daffys Dressing room
5) You can see more of the land from my locations, since they have trimmed trees and taken out rides, I do see this as a good thing for parents to be able to find their kids easier if they run off or are playing

Next are rumors about the land I've heard
1) The Taz ride should be getting more plants on it before it opens in two weeks
2) The Taz path will have an AR component to it
3) There should be a new Looney Tunes show coming when the land opens

The Land I think is mostly a win, the Train ride has some fun audio now plus the Q area audio is cute, I think a little more themeing would be nice and hopefully we do get some as I heard a rumor its not compete yet. I went on the Daffy ride, I assume it will be my first and last time, its not made for adults at 6 foot, lol but has fun theming that reminds you of camp snoopy.
They had characters meeting i the land, so I hope they keep it up to make the lad feel more alive.
I think it does suck for some to lose some rides but the land just looks nicer now and hopefully it wont affect too many wait times, I assume the two coasters could see longer times since we lost one kids coaster but it was a busy weekend and the kids rides still had almost no lines

For me, I just want to see them have a show here almost always at least on weekends, have the characters meeting in the land and who knows maybe one day even try a little parade or other little show in the area to draw more people

Last note on HH next door, the park still looks great since the extra themeing and paint for last year but yeah the main restaurant Q is a jokeeeeee, like its so long. Listen if you have a Q that long your the problem you need to serve people faster and that location as always taken a while but I feel like the Kitchen needs a redo or something because come on your longest line in the park should not be for food, when people are hungry the last thing you want to do is wait an hour to eat

This land looks pretty well done for a regional "amusement park" kiddie land.
