Again? Maybe with all the big wigs heading up there to view Kongstruction it occurred to them that the camp needed some work. I bet they address the stairs now, they were looking very shabby last Friday but the new play flooring in the camp looks great.

They removed the mess tent sign so people can see the tvs now. I hope they put it back in an area that doesn't block the screens.

Seems like a bunch of us posting on OU have vacation scheduled at varying times in early to mid May. I'd think the chances would be pretty good one of those people will be there within hours of Kong's first soft opening.

I like the idea of somebody here being with their family or group of friends in Disney, reading that softs have started and leaving wherever they are and marching over to Islands.

I also crack up at the inevitable moment of irony when one of those like us has their vacation end the day just prior to soft openings, and of course the majority of the first day riders will be random tourists who never even knew the attraction was ever being built. "Oh hey, lookie here! Let's ride!"

As I stated a few posts back, I am not surprised if Kong soft opens before the TM Previews commence. Give this ride a great deal of time to finish its bugs, so once at Opening; can be smooth and easier to handle.

No, but during Christmas; Skull Island goes into its holiday spectacular, with Santa Kong making his big return, since the burning of the USH Kong attraction!!!



(I'm also not joking that there was a real overlay to USH's Kong Encounter which included..Santa Kong..)

It won't stop itself for crying out loud, even the Yeti wouldn't care if it continues or not. :dance:

In a way, i'm not expecting the height of the scenes to be a big thing (excluding the 360), but the attention to detail. Even as is with Screen based projections, the sets will look probably impressive in the car.

My guess is the overlook is blocked off because they are going to be doing continuous testing using the outside path. Prior they were using the inside path the majority of daytime hours is my guess and now they want to train the team members with the outside path.
