I am going to pull a date out of thin air and say that Sunday May, 19 2013 is when the Simpsons expansion will be announced.

Considering the season finale is based on Kodos and Kang and the fact that recent season finales have been on the third Sunday of May, that could happen. However, I don't know if that would be too late considering people would have to book flights, hotels, tickets, time, etc.

I don't think it's something their expecting to significantly affect bookings. Just getting word out at all is enough.

They can always advertise Transformers with it to get more buzz, then that will really attract people to come for Summer, Thanksgiving, Christmas, or other times when kids and adults are off.

:welcome: HomerFan! Universal has child swap for your convenience, so while they may not have many attractions suitable for your 19-month-old, you can still enjoy yourselves :thumbs: Though, I understand there may be other reasons why you might hold off on a theme-park trip, too.

I do believe HTF has it right, and we have a spinner coming. That hopefully will be another child friendly ride :smiley:

Thanks Felipe! We took my son to Disney as a 14 month old and it was incredibly annoying...makes me not want to go back to a park with him for another year or two...but after finding out about this Springfield expansion, I'm not sure i can wait...now I just got to convince my wife!

Hey HTF, you may have gone over this, but since I went through this entire thread in a few days, I may have missed it. If you can divulge, will there be anything to do with Flanders in this addition? Not that I'm some huge Flanders fan, but I think he is as big a character as any outside the Simpson family.

I do not know the FL beverage laws, but I'm pretty sure the Hard Rock is on Seminole property and has Sovern nation status so it is not under FL law (hence the casino which also is not legal in FL).

True, I didn't even think about that aspect. I could see Universal just using red glow cups and calling them Flaming Moves

Hey guys, I've been lurking on this board for the last few days and finally decided to post. I'm a huge Simpsons fan and cannot wait for Springfield to open up! Although, with a 19 month old, I probably won't be able to hit up Universal for a few years.

I have one question for some of the posters...I noticed some people have 2/28/2013 as their signature, what does that date represent?

When my son reached 36" tall we were able to ride about 8-10 rides combined in both UOR parks and see the shows and he loved it, all especially visiting the Discovery Center in JP. I believe the 2/28/2013 is Orlando United's Anniversary

Regarding flaming drinks... Rosie O'Grady's used to serve a Flaming Hurricane and that was in downtown Orlando (granted, it was a soaked sugard cube in the drink on fire, but still, it was in the drink..)
