I'm actually expecting to see a redesign of the waterfront area in front of the Simpsons. The night show is a hit so better viewing options are a must for this to grow. Think about the crowds the Studios will have in just under 3 years. All the upgrades they can do now will ease the chaos and create an atmosphere people will want to stay until close for. I think we should expect numerous upgrades to the parade and cinespec over the next two years as well.

I like your theory. Good to see them being proactive about what's going to happen in the very near future.

Sounds great! But specifically, what are we taking about happening? Something drastic like putting another dam in the lagoon in order to physically reshape the actual waterfront? Built in stadium seating/inclining areas for better viewing? Food/merch carts or even some new permanent waterfront restaurant? Etc?.......

I literally have no idea what the scope of this mystery project is that you are describing.

^ I may in fact be roasted over the coals for this, but I wouldn't mind seeing some Simpsons themed flat rides out there...

I would only agree to this if the entire area were themed to a true midway. But alas, if we're getting Springfield, I think not.

If only giant frisbees didn't take up so much space. That'd be awesome.

My only complaint is it'd be hideous on the skyline. Himalaya would be cool.

I don't know if my stomach is as strong anymore, but I spent probably 80% of Labor Day in 2005 on maXair at Cedar Point, 29 rides total. Yeah, I'm nuts.

But about 971, I really hope they do some water front work, because they could use the current space much more efficiently if they redesigned it, in my opinion of course.

They can terrace that whole area down if HFT's dreams are correct. And it wouldn't need a dam to do it.

IMO a Simpsons flat ride area would be a cop out just like Chester and Hester.

I disagree. Flat rides have their place in theme parks. They just need to be used correctly.

The difference being, you can't pack up a Giant Frisbee overnight (or a week, month, maybe 9 months).

Far from a crappy carnival ride, but HUSS isn't exactly in the best shape, and it was really just a pipe dream (I still kind of wish OTP had actually happened).

Now, how about a freshly tiered waterfront viewing area?
