I don't think the problem will be the attractions and building themselves. It will be the road pavement that will cause havoc! If they want a true simpsons land, they're gonna need a new road, and closing the section will cause a huge problem in crowd capacity.

Go figure. Well I suppose that solves that but they need to haul rear if this is getting done soon. Still no sign of an announcement either.....Hmmm :inquisitive:

Trust me Im not wound lol. You would know if I was wound

As I said before, TF was a ride..and a copycat at that. Simpsons is a complete overhaul of an entire land. I have full faith Im just curious to see how they will do it.

Tis all I can do.

I am interested in this spinner concept. A few theories have been tossed out there. One particularly peaked my interest.

Possibly a saucer bumper ride? I really don't think were looking at a "normal" spinner here.

Uni isn't THAT predictable :sneaky:

It doesn't need to be slower, it just means most of the work goes into one spot then they move to the next instead of all work being done spread out. Plus closing it down would cause a pile of complaints to form because they have to walk around the lagoon just to get to a ride they can see is just in front. They would do that in most parks but due to the lagoon and no real short way to get past it wont be a good idea.

I just noticed for the first time that Universal's Kwik-E-Mart sign doesn't match the one in the cartoon. I wonder if Universal will be changing this to make it accurate with the rest of the land. But since Ive never noticed until now, and not heard it mentioned by anyone, I doubt they would waste any of the budget on that.

Transformers was more than just a ride. An entire soundstage had to be demo'ed, removed, land excavated, building built, track laid, theming elements added and exterior completed...

As far as the springfield, the hard part is over. A flat can be assembled in hours and theme wlwmwnts can be added overnight.

Its hard to tell by the pictures but doesn't it look a little tight on the waterfront area they are working on now to fit Duff Gardens and a ride?

How are they going to do the pavement without closing the land? Isn't it supposed to look like the streets of Springfield?

They're fine with rumors (they've talked about Springfield on the show before), they just like to play things very careful.

This is one project where my knowledge is limited, especially compared to HtF, but its possible they just paint it overnight like they do with Seuss.

Probably the same way they did with the london lagoon area. Did one side, kept ne side usable, the reversed that...

You seem to forget that an entire large restaraunt had to be cleaned inside and out, restructured, and rethemed, the waterfront has to be removed and rebuilt, a new ride is going in which land has to be excavated, cleaned, dug out, and leveled, then the entire area is being re-painted plus gags plus a re-working of the entrance to both sides of the land.

The argument that TF and Simpsons are the same is invalid. This is more than just simple assembly parts and overnight work.

Like I said I have full faith but we'll have to see.
