We have been hearing this building will not be an attraction beyond a painted facade.  This area will now store the carnival game merchandise.

Could it be that the Fast Food Blvd. building is attached to the Wizarding World complex? If that's the case, I think 2015 may be the new target date of Springfield.

It would be a travesty to build two seperate kitchens.

Maybe two different kitches wouldn't be far fetched, even if they're connected, since The Three Broomsticks and FFB will be serving completely different food. And considering how busy both will always be, I think it'd be smart to have two kitchen facilities. But Jon, I can see what you mean by attached. You might have something there.

But do you really think it'll take a year to open FFB?

If it's attached to Wizarding World, then yes.

If not... it could be done. But once again, they have yet to even pour the foundation, which is a troubling sign.

Mmmm does anyone know if Panda Express and Jurassic Café share a kitchen?? Lets see if there is a precedent. Anyway, since the construction goes at a snail pace I don't think we will see it this year... No official announcement has been made that springfield is coming yet so I think it's far away...

Negative on the Panda/Jurassic kitchen sharing. I'm seeing 2015 for FFB.

Only USH can take over a year to build a food court.

Only USO can take less than a year to build a mega ride like Transformers The Ride 3D lol.

I think it'll be easier to judge how fast the construction will go once they start on SOMETHING. It's deathly slow right now, but maybe once it starts, it'll be fast and open by the end of 2014 at least? Maybe all hands are on deck to finish SSFL and Minion Mayhem? Either way, I hope it won't be too long

Actually they may be focused on the carnival games now, which are going at lightning quick speed. They did the exact same thing in Florida, too.

First two games are up next to the StarWay.. Basketball shoots and a bean-bag-throw-something-in-the-bucket.

They're just trying to reduce wall-phobia by Spring Break. The faster those games are done, the less people will feel like they're in constructionland.

Does anyone else believe that this pit is going to be under Three Broomsticks?  Could this be for underground gas lines and such to be installed for the Simpsons Food Court and Three Broomsticks?  Sewage lines for restrooms?  Thoughts?

That sounds plausible. BTW that's the first time I've ever seen that themed wall extending from Flintstone's. Matches scarily well, and makes me more sure that FFB will be under construction for a while.

I surely hope not. A lot of eating options are now gone from the park and there is not enough sitting area for the huge crowds in the summer. This summer will be worst than last year's

Something tells me the food court wont be open for quite some time with all removal of the gift shop on Baker Street to become another food venue.

It only makes sense in order to divert traffic to the Despicable Me side while they're doing all that heavy construction for Potter.

I am surprised the VIP dining area remains.  I would think they would want the Roman Noodle to be open to have indoor seating available on the west end of the park.  I understand Miss Hattie's will want business, but why not utilize all the venues in the area to minimize crowding.  The gift shop across from Mulligan's should also be a candy shop!

I've heard that Miss Hattie's will most likely offer some items lost from Doc Brown's, but otherwise it's mostly food items aimed at families. Also heard a tiny rumor that it has a second story for seating... but I took that one with a grain of salt. (even though the building itself is tall)

Universal is most likely hoping that the big traffic will be swallowed over here, and that ironically Mel's Diner will become the overflow restaurant. I still feel sorry for those dining at Flintstones and Pink's this summer, as there is not nearly enough seating over there.

The actual orphanage is just a facade if that clears anything up. No interior or back wall.
