I kind of agree with you but at the same time, onsite hotel guests are paying for that service. I only stay onsite for fastpass and I'm sure many others as well.

Raises Hand....

You can literally stay at the Ritz Carlton for the cost to stay at one of Disney's "Moderate" hotels. If it wasn't for the free parking/transportation and early fast pass availability I'd stay off site.

Illuminating photographs. I still think the staggered openings represent a huge missed opportunity, but it is what it is.

Wow. I didn't realize how much further behind y'all's is compared to ours over at Disneyland. That site says a 2 month difference but it sure seems like more than that.

It's a 5 month difference exactly.

I think this map has been recently updated over the past few days also:

http://maps.ocpafl.org/m/Home/Map?Length=4

I had my first look at Star Wars in Disneyland and it's so much bigger than any photos look. I took a few photos through a tiny gap in the wall and I'm going to see if I can stitch them together.

Edit: Managed to get it to work:

Anybody wondering about possible damage to the construction from the hurricane?

Yep. Hopefully it doesn't materialize, especially at DHS.

Minimal. Open air steel structures don't have a lot of wind resistance. Anything loose they have I'm sure is being tied down already. Cranes will be dropped to the ground. Maybe some flooding in the low areas. I don't think they have started sheeting anything yet, so they should be fine.

If a hurricane could destroy the frame, I think Disney would rather know now than later.

Tomorrow would be a good day to get photos of DHS construction as most, if not all, of the work walls are being taken down.

As you can see in this picture they are starting to form the "roof" of the tunnel at the entrance. Making the reveal that much grander (get it, from "grand avenue") this is really coming along and I'm fascinated watching this come together.

Though I've been wrong before based on mere size of the show building....this Battle Escape ride looks like its going to be absolutely massive!

So hard to maintain expectations on this one....

Falcon still looking like M:S, and looks like there will be 4 of them.... cool, perfect number to split in half by the 3rd month from opening date to do a Green and Orange Experience.

Pretty sure this ride will not be a centrifuge.

These do not look like Mission Space to me. These are MUCH larger. They also have a concrete cylinder in the middle, making them more like a circular trench than a circle footprint.

star-wars-galaxys-edge-air---.jpg

That concrete cylinder would prevent the motor for Mission Space to operate, which if you look at the picture below, is situated directly in the center of a round room, unobstructed.

MissionSpace8.jpg

And again, these trenches are far too large to be centrifuges.
