That's a lot of BTTF for the Studio tour. I was hoping for something new/different (E.T, Twisters, Ice tunnel coming back or something all encompassing with multiple IPs) but I'm down with BTTF. Curious how they'll do it

I heard a rumor LONG ago that the drone that Dom was grabbing onto was going to be a practical effect. It was going to be a drone on a Kuka arm with 3D Dom holding onto it, but got scrapped for reasons.

Would love to see a practical DeLoreon on a Kuka arm, especially with how advanced projection technogoly has gotten. I’m hoping we at least see Bourne-quality screens in there.

So to bring up: there was a bit of a misunderstanding with the way he worded it. It was meant to be in regards to the Orlando F&F--not Hollywood.

Nonetheless, I am asking him candidly on it via WDWMagic forums (and hopefully we get the dub too).

As an Orlando partisan, I'd be thrilled! But it makes a ton of sense for Hollywood, too.

That's not happening. The building has foundation issues. And they're not going to revert back to what was already there. Let alone keep the existing ride system.

When Simpsons goes--it will be a building that has been operating the same kind of attraction over the course of three decades and a half.

Once it closes; I imagine the only thing happening before they work on the replacement, is destroying the entire building and regrading the hillside as a resultant of the endeavors.

Honestly kind of threw it out in the past, will do so again; I wonder if they might consider relocating the Studio Tour plaza to be underneath that of The Simpsons Ride. I think sooner than later the plaza will be relocated; and the question will lie to where and not when. Add in ADA restructuring that will need to be done; and I wonder if they could do something that rejuvenates the entire area.

Make it a more accurate recreation of Hill Valley, with Cafe 80’s (or whatever it was called in the 50’s), the clock tower as the ride facade, Doc’s house/lab faithfully recreated as a shop or restaurant…

They could theme it as the 50’s, 80’s, 2015 or just have different sections from different times. I feel like Universal is working at a much higher standard than they were when the original ride is built, and there’s untapped potential left in the series.

Also, is it just me who really feels it should be an iconic live action movie replacing Simpsons? Pokémon or HTTYD would be great for the lower lot, but IMO the Simpson’s area is some of the most premium land in the whole park and needs to represent Universal Hollywood as an overall park.

That would be pointless when the actual BTTF Courthouse Clocktower (and Town of Hill Valley) exists on the backlot. Also Doc Brown never had a "lab" outside of the former ride created "Institute of Future Technology".

No. The premium land that represents the overall park is literally the USH backlot/Studio Tour. It is the headlining ride/attraction for the past 60 years
