In The Loop posted a June 2015 update showing "a funky siren sound" coming from the exit of supercharged. Also according to them, they are testing trams now.

i will be there on the 12th. hopefully soft opening are going on. i can see it happening on towards the end of the week for the next two week until it opens on monday the 22nd

To be fair, it's a tour animation. No need to test out any queuing procedures and such. It's a bit simpler.

I wonder if they'll have it simultaneously soft opened for the whole studio tour during the Express Tram days.

No, it's annual pass members as well. There's still lots of guests with grandfathered, existing, or new Annual Passes, not just season.
