We already have Earthquke....so I kind of hope not

Wicked, BTTF or a and it must be a money thing....no idea why It can't just be a great movie ride for Universal because thats just an easy slam dunk by having a tribute to all the big films like ET, HTTYD, Universal Monsters, BTTF and so on
Yeah another natural disaster ride would be redundant.

Personally I think they should keep it simple and just do a BTTF overlay. I posted them a while ago and have been lost but they can make a GREAT BTTF if they’re willing to put the creative effort and money into it.

I love that you can go back over a year ago in this thread and almost the exact same conversation(s) about wanting this to be either BTTF or some Great Movie Ride-esque drive through Universal's history was occurring, and repeats every few pages since. Really hoping that after Hollywood Drift is open Universal really shifts into whatever could replace this (and/or just updating the Studio Tour overall) for all our sakes.

It doesn't seem like the Olympics are doing too much to push to update USH much outside the hotel...which yes is it own big deal but the park needs some work as well

But here is hoping this and DWT are both going to get updated by then to help just make the park fresher in 2028

Universal could also pull the ultimate sigma move and say “Nah here’s Jimmy Fallon: Fallon-charged”

I have a feeling there are at least talks about this being part of a larger theme park expansion. Supercharged, Falls Lake, and the Nope sets are a pretty large piece of real estate and it does seem like the Tour is currently in a “contraction” cycle.

Not saying that is what is going to happen but I think the fact it has been closed for 15 months with no construction means that it’s being weighed by management.

Could be

Its really hard to tell because USH has also been doing some money saving moves as well (like having restaurants closed during the slow months....and still having a part of the park not open for an hour after park opening)

So its hard to tell if they are looking at the land for more park space....or because they could have had a new attraction in but it would be too close to the new coaster so they are waiting until they need a new attraction to draw people in to built

Given Universal's insistence on advertising the "classics", all of which aren't necessarily there anymore, I could see them using the Tram Tour as a "catch all" for all those IPs. King Kong and Jaws are already there. As others have said, converting the old Supercharged building into some sort of BTTF experience would be a smart idea. Perhaps the Institute of Future Technology where they convert the former "party pre-show" into the moment Biff steals the DeLorean and the Tram then becomes tasked with doing what the old ride did before? This is, of course, only if they aren't planning to expand the theme park into these areas.

Now they just need a clever way to work E.T. into the Tram tour to really round things out, after that..

I doubt this would happen.....but if they are considering a Jaws attraction for Fan Fest.....Falls lake is pretty much perfect to make into a fake beach...so if they could do that and then do whatever they want to this area

Interesting to bring up: the Supercharged vehicles have been loaded out of the showbuilding and are display on the tour now.

The Mona Lisa is now part of the Picture Cars.

With how expensive Supercharged ending up being, I wouldn't be surprised if they were going keep as much pre-existing show elements as possibly and just reskin it with a more popular IP.

Removing of assets seems to finally be progressing forward on the Supercharged building, with assets being sent to trash.

Now that Hollywood Drift is done, hopefully this means that a replacement for Supercharged will be the next thing on the docket.

We have Earthquake already. God, I hope thats not right just why are they so against making the end of this ride the great movie ride. Like it just checks so many boxes you can have Wicked, BTTF, ET, the Odyssey

I keep seeing it mentioned but what would a Great Movie Ride kinda thing look like? Is there any substantial space to support that

Also hoping this is a practical ending and not another screen based one

So the rumors are true.

Eh. I was really hoping it would be BTTF.

Oh well. I’m sure it will be fun. I just hope there’s some practical elements to it. It will absolutely have a screen based ending, it just needs practical.

Unless they work magic this is going to be a screen based ending no matter what

The first room will have some sets but the second room will be a screen, now could they add fake trees or something as well maybe but....yeah even if I don't care for F&F it has fans and was a different theme from others on the tram...we already have two natural disasters attractions on the tram

If this really is true I'm probably gonna have to see what it looks like in execution, but as of now I'm also in the boat that I'm really bummed it's not BTTF. It would have been a perfect way to make it return to the park.

IMHO this is good news because it means BTTF has larger plans.
