We don’t often venture into what’s going on over at Universal, as it’s technically outside the “Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow” boundaries, but if something rather interesting pops up we’ll give it a look.
As is the current case with the now defunct Jaws attraction at Universal Studios Orlando. Universal closed the attraction and began demolition without any word on what it was to become. So, it’s a mystery with many rumors. It’s a large plot of land and Jaws was a major attraction, so it’s expected to be something big once it is revealed.
The most we can do is offer up what little we know – and that’s the plans for the mass grading of the former attraction site. It’s essentially the foundation for whatever they’re building in the future. The paperwork was recently filed with the water management district and it’s a 6MB PDF. If you’re intuitive, you can likely make out some rough building outlines and general walkways that will be coming to the area based on their elevations. It’s a topography map, after all. As always, we’ll post more on the project as it becomes available.
