This is arguably my favorite MCU title to date, following this episode. It feels like such a leap forward for Marvel Studios, not just on subject matter; but to accomplish large scale in multiple episodes. Even more than when Mando was doing large scale set-pieces.

This episode has already cemented my love for this show. It has one of the best character driven scenes in the MCU; and the way they shine on problematic subjects is outstanding. Can't wait for more.

Let’s just hope it’s not a bunch of great set up for a subpar payoff.

Well...well well...look at you all loving this.

Glad everyone is enjoying it...and glad I had a good feeling about the show...for sure to me at least feels like a sequel to Civil War and think the action feels right out of the films and the break down of characters and the great subject matter on what is an Icon makes this shows my jam

Upon second watch, I enjoyed the episode a lot more and I hope they continue the deep sociopolitical conversations.

And like I said in one of my other responses, I also really respect how they are showing everyone’s perspective really well and why they all think they are doing the right thing.

I know at this point is has been a few years since the MCU has been doing Villains better...but love they are continuing it.

As much as I love Endgame...i hated Thanos in it...he went from deep to cartoon villain and wish they just "magiced" his mind when he came to the future and was deep again over what we got.
Also gives me soooo much hope for Dr Doom, I think if cast right could be done so well done with good writers

I hope Wyatt Russell gets a lot of big roles out of this. He’s so damn talented. His performance here is so nuanced. Might even have the potential to be better than dad

It’s crazy, I know I’m supposed to hate him and by the end of this show I probably will, but I still kinda feel for him because he at least started out trying to do this with good intentions.

Theory:
Clearly John Walker is underpowered right now and we know his alter ego is US Agent, which would mean that at some point he’s likely to get injected with the super soldier serum. I’m going to guess that he’ll rip his way through the flag smashers and it’ll be up to Bucky to fight Walker, as Sam wouldn’t last a punch.

Just a theory, but I can easily see it.

Much much better Episode. The writing here was really well done and it just felt much better and well done than the first episode. Probably gonna be one of those shows where I don't like the first episode but the rest is great.

They had to set the tone in the first episode. Show where everyone was at in life six months after Endgame, etc. Naturally, the first episode was going to suffer a tad because of that. Now that we know where everyone is at it makes it easier to sort of just tell the story, especially since Bucky and Sam are together now.

I liked the first episode well enough but the second really took it to the next level for me. In many ways this feels like an F/X show that happens to have a movie-quality action scene in the middle. Strong characters with believable, nuanced motivations.

Great performance--I like how he comes across as a cross between Tony Stark (a guy who's the best at what he does, but not afraid to remind you that he knows it) and Thor (uber-warrior who still can occasionally act like a child--thinking of the throw-away siren scene here). Probably reading too much into it, but is this going to show how the Avengers "trinity" wouldn't function properly without what Cap brought to it?

Unrelated spoiler, but while WandaVision felt like it would work better as a binge, F&WS is using that week break to great effect. Seven days of wanting to punch nuCap makes the opening reveal that he's actually a decent guy more of a gut punch. Also re-introducing us to the title characters then making us wait to see them together sort of drives home the divide between them.

Just a great show overall. Hopefully it can keep it up for four more episodes.

Well yeah I get that the ideas of the first episode of where Bucky and Sam are at is great. But a lot of the dialogue felt very exposition heavy. And the situations they were placed in felt very generic and not very well written.

I personally liked the heavy exposition in the first episode, so I guess I just didn’t mind as much.

Like WandaVision before it, the credits begin to roll and I'm shouting "ALREADY!?" at the screen. So far so good.

Good episode, but my only complaint is the sudden and very tense rift between Buck and Sam - where did that come from and why? Seemed very unusual considering how much banter they exchange in the MCU.

It came from Sam giving up the shield and then the US Government naming a new Captain America.

I get that - just felt a little too spontaneous in my opinion, especially coming from Sam's end when he first runs into Buck.

Small thing I kinda like is the new Captain America suit...I kinda like the Logo on his right (our left) front chest and the strap on his shoulder has part of the logo on it as well...just cool looking to me.

I hope they don’t recast Elijah Richardson like they did with Emma Fuhrmann. That still feels so slimy to me.

Didn't they have to recast because of the snap? They wanted her aged up to be a Young Avenger, I mean even Tony Stark's Daughter had two people cast because of time stuff (yes yes they didn't use the footage but saying think it had less to do with the actors and more to do with time travel stuff)

It's more of a really sleek and brighter looking US Agent suit. I wonder if he'll get a darker one after he presumably gets the serum...
