Another site is reporting that Mythos is closing soon to be re-themed. I didn't see anything else that reported that (unless I missed it). I mean it does make sense but wasn't 100% sure, or what the timetable is.

If you're referring to Orlando Park Zone's article, their only source was a comment @Alicia made in her most recent video, which she specified was just a rumor that Mythos might close early next year. It doesn't sound like there's a definitively known closure timeline right now.

I've got to imagine this is inevitable though. With the three main rumored areas, you'd pretty much have to retheme it:
Pokemon absolutely would need a retheme
Wicked as well
Legend of Zelda you could loosely try to attach it, but knowing Nintendo, I'd imagine they would require a complete retheme as well

The only other real option would to have some weird small remnant of Lost Continent left in the form of that restaurant, which doesn't make sense as they'd want to utilize the extra space I'd imagine.

I believe my video/article last week set off a series of rumor articles. Which is surprising, since we've had demolition permits and an official comment about the land seeing work for weeks now. I guess I was the first one to write about how obviously that means Mythos is on borrowed time.

Anyway, I suggested we probably have at least through the holiday season, so get in your last Mythos meals, just in case. And then the click-bait started raging.

For others as a learning experience, this is how the game of telephone can spiral out of control quickly and produce incorrect information.


Anyway, I think they could just keep the LC statue and mythos as a mini land if they wanted.

Social Media has absolutely no ethics. With the exception of a few reliable voices like @Alicia and IU, most everything unofficial Universal
should be taken with a grain of salt....and lots of skepticism.
