This new land is a great way to bring back Enchanted Oak Tavern, one of the best themed restaurants that Universal has ever built!

I'm curious to see if this potential new Zelda land would still incorporate the power-up bands used for the Mario area. Zelda's dungeons could serve a good basis for challenges utilizing them. They could supplement the land's activities alongside a main attraction.

Honestly IOA is fine capacity wise without PF, I mean, anything helps, but it's not a major attraction

I'm sure some Poseidon simp will claim it is a major e-ticket, but it isn't

IOA Capacity will be severely impacted by Poseidon's closure by increasing wait times by 0.0034% throughout the park...

...I'm just kidding, Poseidon's is part of a select class of attractions (Awesome Planet at Epcot, Swiss Family Treehouse at MK, etc.) that has little to no impact on guest experience/satisfaction, capacity, or anything positive.

Poseidon was a D-ticket, that had the appearance of an E-ticket but was ultimately a weak (dare I say B) C-ticket.

Guys please like this comment, this is genius. Need a challenge where me and the boys push a large block down an indented path for a key.

Just asking for one, not a dozen. Doesn't have to be a boat ride, but anything that doesn't throw you around in front of a screen or a coaster.

A relatively calm, Pirates-like boat ride is the one water ride IOA lacks. Adding one "completes" the park, in a manner of speaking.

Or it would if there were still shows at IOA.

As long as the boat ride turns into a Mack Water Coaster at the end

Ask away! I just think people here often confuse their own personal wishes for actual needs of the resort.

This thread has been open for 14 years. We've been questioning when this land would bite the dust for over half of the park's existence. This thread has even been open for 5 years longer than the OG Kidzone thread (may it rest in piece). Poseidon's Fury is gorgeous and the original Lost Continent was cool af, but it's time lmao.

I think they realized that Pokemon is best reserved for Diagon-esque expansion where they can build a Tokyo cityscape to fit in with the other lands at USF, and then hide the actual Pokemon land.

Personally, I want a boat ride/omnimover in every corner of the park. Realistically, a dark ride (doesn't have to be a boat ride) that doesn't have a height requirement, high capacity, and features a family-friendly ride is desperately needed at UOR.

While I understand the argument of Universal catering to a different crowd compared to Disney, the mood has changed, and now that they have defined themselves with thrill rides, it's time to focus on the younger audiences AND attractions for everyone. They already working on childrens-focused experiences, but I think they need rides akin to Pirates/Haunted Mansion that draw interest from all age groups.

I imagine that this was probably going to happen within the next two years even in the best of cases. They probably did the refurb in hopes that they could breath some life into one of their classic attractions for it's final few years and in prep for the EU crowds, but ran into some prominent issues with the structure that might've dashed those hopes. We know that they'd been working with Nintendo in this spot. Between those issues, maybe even potential lack of attendance over regional Spring Breaks, and the massive successes with the Nintendo/Universal partnership over the past months, this well could have been a relatively recent decision with some pretty long build-up. That's my take.

Bring on the Hylians!

IOA really didn't do very good attendance wise, until they brought in the Hogsmeade immersive land and that big 'indoor' E ticket Forbidden Journey attraction. Yes, another good indoor air conditioned attraction could be beneficial for this park, especially when the rains hit, or a stinkin high humidity day, which is half the year at least.

It's April and the weather has already been unbearable. I can't imagine July & August.
