Honestly, itd be great if it stayed and the ride film got remastered I actually really enjoy the attraction lol

Like realistically speaking, what do you put in that plot of land that isnt just reusing the simulator for the 3rd time (which would still probably have to be bulit from the ground up because of modern building codes)? It’s in such an awkward spot, lol. Shutting down Springfield (even in well timed phases) would probably be an incredibly annoying undertaking for everyone involved (including guests).

They might save more money and headache in the long run by just forking over the money to Disney. Plus with the movie coming out in 2027, maybe they’ll see a merch sales boom.

Orlando on the other hand is definitely on the chopping block as it doesn’t have the unique issues our version has.

IIRC, the NBCU evolution plan has the current tram stop earmarked for future theme park development. if you expand into that for the Simpsons replacement you could get a decent sized dark ride.

Simpsons Co-Creator says he would be “shocked” in Universal stopped licensing the IP.

lol

I hope the ride goes before the show ends

Like I get it, it makes money but so will many other IPs the ride is just at its end....if anyone here has fun RIDING it speak up but its rough and the loading is just slow compared to most modern rides

People will eat anything good, I mean cool if the IP has food items people already want but here is an idea....make good food and people will just eat it. This is a local park and if you make food people want they will buy it

If USH has other cool plans and simpsons can stay, great but also I won't be too upset when it leaves like the show its just not in the best place and rather it go out with more of a bang....also like can we get some characters in holiday outfits and halloween? Can Side Show bob return, like if you want someone like me to fight for it to stay then do more with it over making it always the same thing when basically every other area of the park gets updates for either christmas/halloween

Asked @ethanuniversal to get a wide-shot to give more context, it seems weathering and aging is more properly hitting the back side of the building now, with grey grime near the top of the structure and with the showbuilding's blue front paint now considerably faded since the refurbishment in 2022).

The Grime from the cracking also seems to be going down a square too, likely from the water drainage when it rains.

As to be expected from a fully exposed 32 year old show building… even the fact that the building is unthemed and exposed like this feels very indicative of how different Creative was back then

Is that a stucco finish on the building?
