They need to hurry up and get that done. They need to spruce that thing up.

They aren't going to hurry. Nor should they at this point. Shutting down the attraction with crowds they way they are would be foolish.

Once the summer season is over, you'll probably see it painted.

OK... 20th time I will post this... Hulk has been painted at LEAST 4 times over the past 11 years... IT HAS NEVER BEEN SHUT DOWN FOR PAINTING! HULK has never ever ever ever stopped running every day since 1999 except because of an emergency stop... and that has only lasted one day.

Interesting. And foolish, in my opinion.

This thing needs more than paint. Last time I went on it I thought I was going to get a brain contusion from the roughness. Is there a possibility they're waiting to refurb it?

Because it was being painted? Days in a row over and over? No. I live here. I go too often... lightning within 20 miles... Hulk goes bye bye as does DD/DC. If it was closed from 9-7 then that is rarer than hen's teeth. Locals will agree with me on this 100%. HULK runs every day of every year 99.9% always.

If you are talking lightning... well maybe... but NASA revealed a study in the last year or two that lightning can hit 20 miles from it's source... so I was just playing safe...

So, I guess this means that all central florida theme park roller coasters are not really safe! I am calling the CNN and Musion and the Boston Symphony Orchestra... "they are in danger... they are in grave danger!" That was a quasi quote from a movie that has been popular here of late.

Great!!! Good to know. *Now gets scared* :look:

Anyway, I got a question about the painting of the HULK:

Was the track ever painted during one of these paint refurbs or where all of the paint refurbs just on HULK's buildings?

As of Saturday I have decided I will no longer ride the Hulk until it is fixed and running smooth. I am a roller coaster junkie and I have never gotten off of a coaster and felt like my head was going to explode. The hulk gave me such a headache we ended up just leaving the park because I couldnt shake the headacxhe

Could some of you here that complain about Hulk being rough be more specific? Was the entire ride rough or was one part more rough than the other? Were you sitting in the front, middle or rear? Was it side to side rough or bumpy up and down rough?

I cannot imagine the rails being rough as they are smoothed by the run of the coaster each day. I cannot imagine that a few of the rails have come loose from the main green support as the ride would be closed.

FUN FACT: Next time you get on DC and while you are getting buckled in, look up above at where each car is attached. You will see little colored drips of what appear like wax on each and every bolt and nut (not wax I suspect but it is probably more like a hard plastic of some kind) . Those are inspected every night, if not each week for cracks in the dripped seal. They are much like the wax seal on an envelope. If you see a crack in one of those seals... be scared... be very very scared.

Anyway, details on the roughness would be appreciated.

Thanks for the information! It's good to know that! Also, I agree that the person should please give us details as to what was rough about Hulk!

When I was there the past few times this month, the roughness starts towards the second half of the coaster, especially on that first corkscrew.

I wonder if its those orange stains on the tracks that are doing that. (If those are stains :inquisitive:).

Here is a resent video (Skip to 0:35 to see what i'm talking about).
