I hope Disney learns a lesson from this
Either make a film that is pure passion or the story MUST be told
Star Wars Films used to be events and this movie lost on its second weekend to the Backrooms, a movie most people have never heard of until it came out.
People clearly saw this movie and thought it looked made for Disney plus and are waiting, we will get a flood of people calling it not so bad but to me I enjoyed Maul more then this story and Maul was a slowwwww burn but to me had more interesting things going on
I hope they can just do better, not everything needs to be Andor but also not everything needs to feel like Clone Wars/Rebels, which is what this was more pushing toys togeather and making cool moments that don't mean anything because who cares about these two hutts or these boring generic Empire guys they have zero real personally or anything that makes you hate them
There was no tension, the story didn't move along Mando or Grogu story much, it was filmed fine but not too many interesting shots
No hate on the Music, the sound track was amazing but the core of the film here is a long episode of the show.
Most Disney just learn from this and do better, make Star Wars feel special again over just crapping things out, especially the movies. Movies should be big events and the TV shows like Maul can do more slow burns and show whats going on outside the main conflicts
