Will there be any rooms to where it's just black walls?

One of the things Murdy mentioned was that there are no cut transitions like there are in HHN. Every transition is highly themed. No black walls.

Is there any spoilers that you can tell us or me about the walking dead attraction

There are tons of easter eggs throughout the attraction. They are hoping even the biggest Walking Dead fans won't be able to find them all. One such Easter Egg is Rick Grimes' badge.

Another question - more of a personal one: Coolest or most impressive part/ scene from the maze?

I think the burning cabin is going to look amazing. There will even be a smoking walker! Murdy also made me excited to see Bicycle Girl in action - She's a full blown animatronic that can crawl with her hands.

Three questions

did you get to see the walkthrough with all of the effects or was it a lights on tour?

are there any scenes taken from the mazes seen at HHN and done with more elaborate detail?

And are there scenes that we did not see in HHN mazes that are to be seen in this maze?

It was a lights on tour.

I believe there are a couple. The prison is one example.

There are scenes in the attraction from the newest season, so yes, there are many brand new things to see.

I'm really curious to know about smells. Typical HHN smells?

Smells are a yes. However it won't be anything disgusting such as vomit or rot. It will be more ambient like pine and smoke. Murdy mentioned for the day time guests, they really need to change things up from HHN. Smells are one example.

I believe it's close to fifty if you count the hands hitting the Dead Inside doors.

That's going to be highly subjective. I can't really say for sure. If it doesn't scare you though, it should still be highly entertaining.

Were any of the animatronics turned on? I am curious about how fluid their movements are.

Sadly, no. I'm looking forward to seeing that too! Murdy claims they are all very impressive.

Very much so. The goal from the start was to bring you into the television show.

Did they give you any idea of the budget for the attraction? How much did the queue space seem to hold?

They didn't mention how much money was spent, but the queue is actually quite big. It all takes place at the hospital that Rick Grimes wakes up in at the beginning of the series.

It's going to be really interesting how the HHN crowd reacts to this maze. They're definetly aiming for atmosphere aside from just "in your face" type scares. That's not to say it's tamer than HHN, it's just... different. In a good way, IMO. I'm not sure if this was the attraction USH needed but there is a lot of heart put into it for sure.

I wonder, since this isn't like the typical HOH overlay where they would get a separate cast from day time, would they get a seperate cast for HHN or ask the daytime cast to work for HHN as well. Possibly a mix of the two?

It would be the casts hired for the attraction. The costumes are specifically tailored for them and the training they are receiving is a bit more intensive than scare academy for HHN.

Just got some photos from a friend at the park today and it looks like the walls have significantly come down.
