Say what you will if you think the execution is cheap... there isn't one black wall in the entire attraction.

Though in fairness, the experience is woefully short and lacks a real punch of finale. It's "cheap" in ambition versus nuts and bolts.

I will give you that it's short. But in terms of the GP... they nearly always freak out at that ending. While it doesn't seem that much to me (especially after repeat go throughs), I've seen grown men cower going through there, and many others practically refuse enter that section.

It's certainly not perfect by any means... but it seems to be very thrilling for the GP (most who don't typically do haunts), who is their core audience on that one. Not haunt fans.

Its very possible, but the only reason we didn't get it was due to TWD being A LOT cheaper to do (sadly the cheapness fell into execution as well lol ....sigh)

In other news, I'm going to stop by the park in the morning during the ungodly early entry hour before I head off to work.... pics will be posted later.

Or maybe because the TWD has far more appeal than video games in general. Unlike video games, TV shows and movies are the integral part of entertainment life and is unavoidable, and there's plenty of people who don't play video games and don't have much of a wide appeal to people of all ages in general. It's the very reason why outside of Nintendo, video games rarely get as much recognition in the theme park arena, as movies and TV show does.

I'm one of those people. I haven't played a video game since Atari 2600 and Commodore 64. :bigeye: I mean, a play small flash-based games online once in a while, but nothing serious.

Resident Evil is making a comeback as a franchise BUT most younger people might recognize it more for RE7 which was a big hit in 2017, which is also really different from any of the Raccoon City entries. Although I do think RE has had more of a legacy and staying power in the public eye than The Walking Dead has - it’s just TWD was a lot bigger at its peak and is more relevant nowadays(although its ratings are slipping)

Resident Evil RE2make is coming as well. Even so, unlike TWD, the RE series is well known for being cheesy with obvious and not so much great lines, linear storylines, and being a B-movie type genre. Again, outside of Nintendo, video games just don't have the same appeal as movies and TV shows does.

True, plus I think the actual Resident Evil movies are bigger in the Asian countries which is why Osaka has it

What about the resident evil movies? those made big bucks, Universal could have made a walking attraction out of the movies as well, and have clips of the movies in the queue and stuff.

The RE film series was not exactly something that the GP liked, and while had a very..niche audience, it was never a triple AAA IP.

TWD however, is in albeit a rare state for AMC, to where that got a huge audience, and at the time of development for Universal Blvd; was the choice pick for a walk through attraction (and I'm not talking when construction was happening, as I recall Murdy beginning to mention of it in teasing around the middle of 2014).

They're extremely unpopular, plus, they're not canon to the RE video game series, and movies based on video games gets a bad reputation. If you really think Universal is going to make an attraction based on an unpopular RE movie series, then you have a chance of seeing this at Saturday Night Live than to greenlight such a suicidal idea that won't last long.

Since it’s lookimg less likely that TWD will be replaced by SLOP, I would love to see this become a flex space for museums/displays (like the Likia Experience) and for maze venues for HHN. There’s almost nothing you can do in that really tight space.

I think its a possibility that TWD Attraction will stay a little longer.
It hasn't been open that long so I can't see them scrapping it so soon.
There was talk about this attraction being built with the ability to change in mind.
The beginning section appears to be more or less permanent but I'd wager, it wouldn't be very hard to change a large section of it.
There was talk about a expansion as well. If they can turn the queue space into maze space and build a small queue in a section of the proposed SLOP attraction and just go vertical with SLOP,
I think they could salvage this and make it decent. As sick of House of Horrors we all were, that was the one thing it had over WD. There were more scares and it was a generally longer experience.

I'd say pics or it didn't happen, but I'll be at the park tomorrow morning. So I'll be sure to post pics later tomorrow night. Gotta go to work after I stop by the park :grumble::fist: But yea, I'll have the pics up ASAP though.

I vote for the zombie trio (look at TWD shirt/hoodie) as cutouts above the entrance sign similar to what we saw for the AHS facade.. It certainly would HELP prevent dumb families from entering.
