Hey guys, I'm not going to be at the park until 10-10:30 any info on softs would be greatly appreciated ...thanx

Potter has been open to package holders and hotel guests since the 28th..I would imagine this weekend will be no different..wether or not they will allow the GP in on it, is another question. My best guess is that the weekend crowds will be too large to let people in. If the park was open for the full day maybe..but if they are only going to open it until 12..then I doubt it.

How would it not be ready for lunch/dinner? That is one thing I don't get either. They have a kitchen, and they have cooks, they should be ready to go.

Now if you tell me they aren't prepared to handle a crowd either, that is unexceptable. They need to draw up a plan and execute it, period.

The reason is pretty obvious. To open for lunch they have to get in enough supplies to handle a lunch crowd, but they would be silly to do that until they knew they'd be open long enough. So long as they are clsoing anytime up to 12 or so, it wouldn't make logistical or economical sense to serve the lunch menu. That's almost certainly part of their plan.

This is so crazy over two years of updates rumors roboarms and especially OU to finally have the culmination in one day.Being there will be one of the most surreal things to ever happen to me. Where is this opening again? I went back like 20 pages, but I know I didn't go back near as far as I should have. I think it's pretty well concealed to the regular theme park guest. I didn't notice it yesterday at all. I guess that makes me oblivious.

Apparently it's raining over Hogsmeade now and people are still standing in line for butterbeer. Ew, watery butterbeer would probably taste gross.

While I think you're right that it's not opening for lunch because the softs have only been for limited time periods and not extended parts of the day, it's probably more for labor that food supplies. They don't want to schedule staff to work and end up not doing anything when they decide to close off the area due to technical issues w/ FJ. Most of the food is served elsewhere on property, thus can be ordered for anticipated crowds without fear of spoilage can be transferred to those other units. Items that can be frozen would be.

If I ever get a chance to go back out there and get in, I'll bring a notepad and write down lots of prices.

If you have a phone with a voice recorder or an iPhone, use the voice recorder and just wander through and mention everything you see. I do this these days instead of trying to write things down on paper. Fewer mistakes and much less effort. You still have to transfer them to paper or pc eventually but it makes it a lot less painful on the front end.

Just read that the wait for FJ got over an hour today and they had the single riders line open for a little bit
