Sorry that I finally hit TILT last night and went to bed. The answer to the question I posted last night re: JW is the BSO.

I made it onto the FJ today! The single rider line is great. My wait time never exceeded 15 minutes and if the ride didn't stop working for about 10 minutes at one point, I would have literally walked right onto the ride my second attempt.

The ride did stop once while I was on it. I got to stare down the dragon for a good 5-10 minutes as he puffed white smoke at me. Does anyone know if they plan to continue these soft openings through the weekend? I particularly interested in Sunday.

My iced butterbeer was not as great as yesterday's. It didn't seem icey enough.

Was in the pool and heard a helicopter for a while. Got out a to check it out, it is hovering over IOA right now. I expect it is a News copter so expect some local press tonight on the TV. Tomorrow will be packed if that happens.

I saw a cameraman from 6 and and an assistant lugging a heavy tripod around, getting b-roll. My hand might be in a shot ordering a butterbeer. They didn't seem to be enjoying themselves.

I'm leaning more towards 6 just for the reason that it closed at 6 yesterday, but TMs did tell me until close, so we'll have to wait and see.

On a very unrelated note--I subscribe to this makeup guru on Youtube and she and her friend are doing a Harry Potter House series...The first (I think?) video is up, and it is a Ravenclaw tutorial. I hope to wear it to opening day, though I'm debating going more natural since it'll be hot hot hot and any makeup will probably slide on off...

man universal was a vitual ghost town

I left did everything in potter twice and came back in 3 hours

when you entetered IOA there were people telling you wwohp was open and to come check it out

tons of people getting paid to just stand there and do nothing all over citywalk and ioa

and clueless tourists were out in full force

they really should've removed the dueling dragons flags and old lockers

I saw people approach the bridge and then turn around cause the lockers said they were full

and then people were walking around potterland like "what is this? where is dueling dragons? is this a new queue?"

I think the dragon stuff is still there in case they do go back to Dragon Challenge in the morning and then Dueling Dragons in the afternoon.

going to the parks really puts into perspective how small of a subset the potter fans on this forum and the net are.

It's funny that there are people on here dying to go and there were people there today that could careless about this new land and had no clue about the area or any of the rides

Don't trust the outside seats. TWO times I was green lighted on them, only to be turned away at the inside test seats. I only got one of the required three clicks, and the restraint was having problems in my shoulder area. I asked the attendant there to push down for me, and they said they could not.

Went today around 2:30 and yes I just missed riding FJ. I was still extremely happy because I got the green light today!!!! Lat week I went and couldn't get that 3rd click. Today I go and the ride is already closed. I tried the test seat and thought here comes that stupid red light again. I asked the TM to push on the harness and he goes your fine. I asked him if he was joking and he coved the light to make sure the green was on. It was real sunny so it was hard to see. He checked again and goes, " yep you're ok." They finally changed the seats outside to the actual ride seats, not the bucket shaped DD seats they had last week. I guess the 3rd time will be the charm. I will ride FJ before the weekend is over!!!

from what a witnessed today I highly doubt they are ever going back to dueling dragons

if they close off the land it will be the whole land entirely

there are only 2 black walls left by the jurrassic park arch left to close off the land from there if they need to, but that's it.

there is also loads of grand opening stuff

little led lights all over the place to light up the trees and everything

and there is another platform set up where the wait time sign was, that's why they moved it

and someone else already posted the new video screen next to broomsticks
