Well themed but very close to (and below) ground level.

And I'm riding it again in three days :)

I'm not saying that could be done at Dragon Challenge, but I think they could take steps to make the area underneath the coasters look like less of a nuclear dumping ground.

You can't compare Dragon Challenge to rides like Mummy, BTM, SDMT (lol), Everest, etc.

For being a big thrill coaster, it's as well themed as possible. It's certainly better themed than Hulk, especially when it was Dueling Dragons.

Hulk takes up a small amount of space... nothing else could fit in Hulk's place honestly. And believe me... there's ways to theme DC better (enclosed lift hill, on-board audio, fire & water effects, mist and fog throughout, a whole Forbidden Forest with Shrieking Shack and a Whomping Willow, Ford Anglia flies toward you in a cave, before the big loop, bring back the dueling, return the skeletons to the queue, Death Eater projections, pre-show, enclosed finale with AAs, spires throughout). I definitely feel the attraction could be plussed in the theming department

It could be done. Make the lift hills large tunnels that lead to the top of a castle spire. Use screens for windows to depict dragons climbing up the tower. Get Daniel Radcliffe to record some dialogue about completing the Tri-Wizard Tournament. Add tons of trees, a Shrieking Shack and Whomping Willow to the landscape. Make a hill with a cave that includes Death Eaters and a Ford Anglia close call. Bring back the dueling by forcing guests to remove all shoes and loose objects before boarding. Have dragon roars. Use fog and mist effects. Add a preshow. Enclose the finale with a small show scene. Hide the track enough that the ride seems mysterious.

It might cost $40-60 million, but it could be done alongside the potential Great Hall addition.

While I don't think a lot of this is going to happen. Some simple effects you mention like fog effects would be very simple ways to plus the attraction enough to make it better. I'd paint the tracks to match the rest of the land like a burnt orange and brown, add trees to below the tracks and a rolling fog effect, this will effectively plus the attraction enough that it will blend in the area better. A lot of the other additions you mention would make it a different ride. At that point you'd be better off demolishing the attraction and starting over. I believe this ride could be great again if some minor things are done like I mentioned above.

None of the ideas in here are really feasible. A lot of them would require moving the track and the supports. Also, considering they'd all require the rides to go down for an extended amount of time and would be putting millions more into a ride that is already perfectly fine.

I'm not saying they won't ever add more, but all of this "add a tunnel" and "Make it a forbidden forest" type ideas are very off the wall.... Considering there is a perfectly disposable area just south of hogsmeade.

How is adding a couple of trees and a fog effect not feasible? Better yet how does that even require significant downtime?

You're talking about a roller coaster that goes 60 mph and you want pre-shows, projections and AAs? You're wasting money building and maintaining AAs and effects for a ride that goes too fast to notice half these things. You want more trees and maybe some audio to make dragon noises? Fine, but not every attraction is going to be a modern marvel of theming and there is nothing wrong with that. Some people just enjoy a big fast thrill ride that will make you scream your head off. I would take Dragon Challenge over some of these themed coasters like Mummy and Everest every day of the week.

Bummer. It isn't what it used to be and should be replaced. It'll always be Dueling Dragons to me.

I've already expressed my thoughts about Dragons many, many times. In brief, I definitely want it to stay and hope one day the queue will become a Forbidden Forest walk-through with magical creatures. Re-theming the track and dragon forms on the coaster vehicles would also be nice.

Regarding the Great Hall dining experience, if it comes (and I don't think it will), it would probably take over the Pizza Predatoria area which has the kitchen set up and even bathrooms. It could have the kitchens and bathrooms on the lower floor and the actual dining hall on a second floor. But... this is just wild, blue sky speculation. I believe they've said that the Great Hall is gonna be exclusive to Hollywood (at least for the US parks).

Exclusive for now. I have no doubt that Orlando will get it one day. Mainly because we are spoiled here in Orlando.

I feel like all they need to do is paint the track and change the look of the each seats/coaster cars to Quidditch. Maybe add some new themed stuff in the queue? As much as I would like to see the area around and underneath the coaster themed to a Quidditch field itself, that might be asking for too much. But I definitely feel a new theme for the coaster should happen. I feel like there's too much dragon representation going on in the park now. This would be a good way to bring something new from the books/movies to the park without spending a crap ton of money.

Honestly..if DC were being replaced, changed in theme, removed..whatever...they would have done it when they built the freaking land. It would have been unbelievably stupid of Comcast to not have utilized that time to do another theme. Theres a reason it stayed Dragon Challenge...and theres a reason its not going anywhere or being rethemed. Could a landscaping project (such as trees, grass, etc..) be in the future? Sure, why not. But talk of retheming is pointless other than wild and dead end speculation.

I don't want to get into this any further, but Comcast didn't own UOR when WWoHP 1 was built. That was still Blackstone/GE at the time, and they were still trying to do the least amount possible.
