Was looking through Felipe89's pics, and I couldn't help but notice this. If I'm not mistaken, there's no actual DOOR to the kitchens in Hogwarts. The entrance is through a picture of fruit. You're supposed to tickle the pear to get it to open. Maybe I'm just too hardcore, but I found it amusing.

OK, so I just looked at the pics from my other camera, the ones I took my first time around the FJ queue. The first picture was taken at 8:07 AM as I was entering the castle, before I went to the lockers. When I reached the Room of Requirement I took a pic and it's digital time stamp is 8:24 AM. That camera's "clock" is correct on this camera BTW :P So, that time it took 17 minutes. Now, some factors to keep in mind here: I went to lockers but I was pretty near the front of the pack, I did not watch the entire musion shows that time around, and I was stopped in the corridor after the the Gryffindor common room, right before the RoR, for maybe 3-5 minutes as they take their time to load the people into the vehicles and so the line slows way down there. But again, this all depends on so many circumstances. The ride did not break down until I was right about to load, so that didn't affect the time to walk the queue.

Did you know that was me from here or did you just find out looking at mi pics? If you recognized me you should have said HI!
Pumpkin juice: I wanted to like it, but I hate cinnamon and pumpkin pie, so ... :look:... I'm personally not buying it again :P Butterbeer, on the other hand... I had 1 cool and 1 frozen and I LOVED both :D They tasted very vanilla-y to me.
PS: Thanks for removing spoilers from your previous post... I saw the spoilers before you removed them :bang: Though it wasn't too much, I still don't want to know anything ;)

Yeah, I thougth that was random too... I guess since it wasn't featured in the movies, they just made that up

Kids... I am so confused... this FJ ride thing is great and all. But they just broadcast a version of HBP on ABC Family HD that I have never seen before. Extended scenes were everywhere, stuff that I have never seen. Have you seen this stuff before, am I behind on what was released? There were 15-20 seconds of extra footage for 5-10 seperate scenes I have never seen. I am really sorry to be introducing this here... but where else?

This is Argus Filch's Secrecy Sensor. He used this during the 1996-1997 Hogwarts' school year (aka Half-Blood Prince) as part of the school's increased security measures. It is a type of Dark Detector used to detect lying, concealment, or even when Dark Wizards or one's enemies are around.

ABC does the extended scenes on TV a lot. I haven't seen HBP on TV yet so I'm not sure which ones your talking about and I can't remember if the dvd has them, but if memory serves correctly, it should. For movies 1-5 ABC airs the extended versions occasionally and all the scenes are the deleted ones on the DVD. not sure that helps... =/

Teebin, love ya and all but at times trying to decide if you're riddling it up or just suffering from sleep deprivation confuses me.
Right now, I am confused.

POSSIBLE SPOILER FOR SOME YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

Anyone else who has done some Potter watch detail recognize this guy. He was working the gate before package holder previews began, back when some of us like me were camped out waiting for the gate to come down at any moment. I just thought it was funny that this guy works the one thing we all covet so much and we all had no clue. Small world man.

Also Felipe thank you for the pics man they are great and glad you had a great time even though you didn't get on FJ.

Yep! ABC Family always plays the extended editions with scenes that were cut in the theater edition. My HBP DVD has those extra scenes...just not in the movie itself. ABC Family does it with every movie. In fact, I just watched 3, 4, and 5 this weekend (HP Weekends!) and all had a couple deleted scenes :)

Update: Looks like someone beat me to the punch ;)

Haha! I was thinking of posting that, too. I wasn't sure if it was a tapestry for painting though. I completely forgot about the pear tickling though. I was thinking that after all the work they did in order to make it authentic, all they had to do was put "closet." LOL.

Considering, they probably knew that only the die-hard Potterheads would even realize that and decided to save money and just get a door. That's my guess, anyway. Probably cheaper than a big painting of fruit, and easier to place.

If a flash hadn't been used, you would have seen an Octopus man playing a pipe organ... it is all a grand theme park illusion and a flash shows real people.

Ok so I want to give a heads-up about the pics: At the beginning I didn't really set out to get pics. I started to take a few but the crowds were really making it difficult, so I kind of quit. Plus, it was SO overwhelming just being there! I wanted to soak it in, not try to get pictures. Believe me you need more than one visit, or a couple of hours to take it all in. You will notice a lack of Hogsmead pics. After I settled down a bit I set out to get pics of FJ, so that's the majority of them. Then I came out and decided to get some of Hogsmeade, but I totally failed. Right after this pic:

P5280189.jpg

(you can see Alan Gilmore on the bottom left corner), Alan actually came up to me and we talked for a bit more. He told me he saw me taking many pics and asked me if I was a big fan, about my experience and all... It was really cool! (After we finished talking, Matt from Attractions Magazine came up to Alan, so you might remember seeing me Matt!). So, right after that I was so giddy and kind of starstruck, but I kept taking pics... but I was distracted once again form pic duty when I met the Leaky Cauldron / Pottercast people and I was totally excited and stoked and I kind of lost it then :P and I forgot all about pictures ... A bit after I talked to them I decided it was time to go, so I did not get pics of a lot of things in Hogsmeade. Next time I go I'm making sure that I get many pics of Hogsmeade :)

He was quite nice when he was working the queue! All the queue people were. I chatted with him and another girl from the RoR my first time around. This pic was taken the second time I went and I didn't even see him there until I took the pic :P It was quite dark and they made everyone touring the castle go around the RoR to get out, so you could only see the RoR from this point of view. Btw, he had a cool accent, Brittish or Scottish or from somewhere in that area. I forgot to ask...

They really do tie everything together. I wish they had kept the extended version of when Draco gets out of bed...where the choir is singing and they show Snape. There is so much foreshadow in that simple scene with Snape. It's beautiful. Too bad it got axed.
