hey everyone I just noticed the butterbeer discussion and wanted to let you all know so you guys understand. The price for the mug with the drinks is set at the cost because youre basically paying for the drink and a mug as though the mug were at a shop. Its just that the drink is being put into it. And about the straws, there are straws for the frozen butterbeer. It has a spoon thingy. There are no straws for the cold. The cold can NOT have a straw.

I was very happy that it opened with the park today! :)

Got multiple rides in today for the first time! I have to say it was a lot of fun. Only one extended breakdown too. Seemed like the ride closed around 5pm (just got off the ride, everything seemed fine, came out to exit and looked at the sign to see no numbers) but not too sure. I enjoyed looking around but I can see how it's gonna be pretty nasty in there crowdwise when Grand Opening occurs.

I definitely want to try to get another day in before Grand Opening, then I'll leave the area be for awhile.

I understand paying the $8-10 for the mug and drink, but I thought the object of buying the souvenir mug was slightly discounted refills...

Employees were saying that FJ would be closing at 5 PM tonight. Not quite sure why.

Also, here's some more pictures, from @attractions:

The fiber optic sign is so cool! It looks like someone is actually writing "HP and the Forbidden Journey" with a quil!

I gotta say that pic of Hogwarts looks exactly like it did in SS when the 1st years are in the boats going towards the castle.

the refill price is whatever the price is for the cup wherever you go. I've been trying to tell people that lol.

The prices have not been changing they've been the same

I know! It's perfect...That scene in the movies and books made you feel like you were right there--staring up at the castle and just being in utter awe as it glowed softly and powerfully in the night. Obviously, I cannot wait to experience this myself. It looks too perfect...and the fiber optic writing is so cool! It does look like someone wrote it with a quill!

I found this part of that article interesting

"Some additions to Wizarding World are inevitable: Universal's deal with Rowling and Warner Bros. requires the resort to incorporate elements from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, the final book in the series, which is to be split into two movies for release later this year and sometime next."

It made me start thinking about all the movies and what they have from them. Just a few things I've thought of.

SS- Ollivander's Experience, Mirror of Erised, Gryffindor Common room
CoS- Ford Anglia, Myrtle, Lockhart books, Dumbledore's office, Mandrakes
PoA- Sirius Wanted Posters, FotH, Honeydukes and Hogsmeade, frog choir
GoF- Dragon Challenge
OotP- Hog's Head,Room of Requirement
HBP- Three Broomsticks
DH- The only thing I can think of off the top of my head that's there is the Hog's Head and of course Hogwarts.

I'm sorry, but I was bored so I added some things in red

Well, that's nice to know. Then where has this 'pricing fluctuation' thing come from?

I'd wanted to add something earlier, but forgot...so here it goes! The Acromantulas can also be considered from Deathly Hallows. They were in the battle at the end...I know that that is stretching it...but just wanted to mention it. And the dementors as well. I whited them out just in case people didn't want to know, but as far as I know, they are very common pieces of knowledge. Just wanted to be extra safe
Something for GoF can also be Beauxbaton and Durmstrang students :)

the prices for the refills are supposed to stay the same. Some TMs have mispriced by giving discounts. The 12oz is differently priced than the 16oz.

I clearly can't express the awesomeness so I'll let the great Keanu Reeves explain:
