Why on earth are the marauders maps $65? Are they in a frame with glass or something, or is it just a piece of paper?

They're in a glass frame.

I'm uploading and editing all of my photos now. I'll be posting them slowly but surely. Look for them within the next hour or so.

Yay! Pictures :)
I still think it is rediculous to pay $85 for it...$65 is bearable, if you really want it.

$85 is kind of crazy, but smart on Uni's part if people are really willing to pay for it; they'd be making bank. However, if it's the same map as Nobel Collection, It'd be cheaper to buy it online. You can buy the case and map separately online. So if you really just want the map it's only $35 plus shipping.

I guess it is smart if it ends up being equal to the profit of the $65 sales. More people would buy it for $65, but some people just can't drop $85 on one piece of merchandise. I know they want $$$$ but honestly, they are already going to make a FORTUNE off of this place. The average person will probably drop at least $200 easily in the land, and others will shell out much more. Do they really need to inflate the price to $85? I'm not interested in the map, personally, but I think it is kind of crazy.

Yeah, I'm not sure I follow the logic of basing the prices off people who are in there now. I would think people who either paid extra for a special HP package or have been camping out waiting for the gates to open are going to spend more than the average die-hard fan. That's assuming they don't already have one, of course. I would hesitate to spend the extra $30 for the framing. I certainly wouldn't spend $50. Never mind the hassle of getting it back home to NH.

Unless they are simply trying to make the $35 online version seem like a bargain by comparison. Then it's super smart.

Excellent pics!

Was this before they installed the actual ride seats outside?? The seats they had outside last week were not the actual ride seats, I believe they were DD seats. The seats outside are now exactly the same as those in the ride. I'm a little concerned getting the tM who won't push on the harness. I did get 2 clicks last week inside so I am either ok or very close right now.

They were the same seats both times. They were indeed the FJ test seats both times, and not the DD seats.

Oooooh... Teebin just found out some other big news... I have not received confirmation on whether or not I can post.

It is regarding the Grand Opening... so, should I post it here or in the grand opening thread? Please let me know what you would prefer should I get the approval to release.

You have to follow individual people on Twitter. I think there was a list posted on here awhile back of who to follow to get WWHOP updates, but I don't know where it is. Does anyone have this list?

You can actually do it without following people. Just search fro #PotterWatch and it brings up all the posts with that tag in it. Since everyone uses the tag, it is easy to follow what is going on without following a ton of people.

But you can't actually have every tweet with #potterwatch SENT to you. You can look it up, but Twitter won't NOTIFY you of those tweets unless you follow those people.

*sigh* I'm not a fan of Mugglenet. When listening to their podcast, they don't seem very 'into it', and it's a pity their podcast is so famous when they seem to be more casual fans, and podcasts made by die-hard fans aren't getting the recognition they deserve.

Please, guys, don't start this... MuggleCast and PotterCast do not compete and they are friends... Let's not start a battle of the podcasts or anything like that.
