@Frogki - I'm a sucker for the pygmy puffs. The little 'show' (for a lack of a better term) they put on when you purchase it along with staff pointing it out and asking its name and what have you really made my experience that much better. That or.... well, the butterbeer. XD

Haha! I never thought about that but its right, it could be another ET haha. My sister did give hers a weird name of mrs. nibbles which kind of sounds inappropriate if misheard... I dont have suggestions and was really bad picking mines name out as it is. The pygmy puffs are so irresitable too its like you walk in and see them and are instantly inclined to "awe" haha. and anything that makes you do that is a must have, at least in my book.

Welcome everyone for the photos. I've got more to post, including some in the FJ thread eventually. :]

And yes! They ask you what you want to name it, then ring a bell and announce to everyone that your pygmy puff is going home! So far they're only in pink, but a TM said they will have purple. They're adorable as well. I can take photos of it if people want a closer view!

As far as names go, I named mine Kaimi ("ky-me") as it is Hawaiian for "the seeker." I felt it was appropriately cheesy and I do love the Hawaiian language. Win-win for me.

Wonderfully written! Nice to hear such a touching story from a fellow Ravenclaw The series really made me want to write. And I still do, but only for fun. For the longest time I wanted to be an author, and JKR was such an inspiration. Still is. But I now want to do a different form of storytelling--history and anthropology I'm fascinated by culture, languages and history...which is why the books are such a treat. A lot of the names have really cool origins. It's fun to look them up!
