It looks like it's Disney day at TWWOHP. This was posted by Hopemax on another forum:

"I just got a phone call from my Dad. They went to Universal with friends today. And while eating at the Three Broomsticks, they saw Tony Baxter, Kevin Kidney, Jody Daily and Stacia Martin. They were with other people, which my Dad assumes are Disney people (either former or current) but didn't recognize them, so didn't know. He said Tony was taking a ton of pictures."

^Good to know! I forget, is Tony Baxter still with WDI? I like that the competition is giving their own competition a visit.

Well thats happenned before, when IOA first opened there were pictures of Michael Eisner enjoying the park and on Dudley Do Right.

Each park will always scout each other.

Well I just made my second trip to IOA over the past two weeks, the crowds are well down and makes me wonder how profitable this is for Universal in the off months. Zonkos did not appear to pulling many sales ..still. lol The obvious things like the Three Broomsticks were doing well, wands & butter bear etc...

Nice not to have to wait for anything except Olli' s.

It might not be as profitable as it is during the peak season, but I'm sure they're getting A LOT more business than they did during the slow seasons in past years. Also, just having the Potter brand and exclusive merch they can sell (including online) they are increasing their profits in a BIG way apart from park admisssion.

Also, this is great for the local crowd and the few who visit this time of the year. It's really the best time to come and enjoy a relaxing eve at the Wizarding World. The weather is cooling off, the crowds are thinning out, the holidays are around the corner and holiday spirit is coming around... It's wonderful :)

Definitely agree.

I do wonder if any Christmas decorations will be put up when November comes around.

It never gets that cold does it!!! lol I came pre-opening and I must say it was special then but just so more pleasant crowd and weather wise second time round. Nice time of year to visit indeed!!!

The online store they were promoting when I asked for stock not on the shelves. Shame really as I had a large order to fill for pigmy puffs and now everyone can get them direct...will not help fund another trip....lol

Crowds today were a little heavier than what I expected. FJ was posted at 60 but was more like 25. Hippogriff was about 3 minutes, we didn't want to do DC, and Ollivanders was too crowded as usual. Still a nice day though. Here's some pictures:

Hi, everyone! I am a new member of the forum and I think it's awesome and all the information is highly appreciated! I am planning on going with a friend during the first week of October, maybe on October 6th or 7th, I want to know what can I expect of the lines and the crowds? I know that on the 7th the Halloween Nights are taking place in Universal Studios...what would you guys recommend?? going on the 6th when there are no particular events but the closing time is at 6, or going on the 7th when there is the Halloween nights thing and the park closes at 7....Thanks in advance for your help!

ETA: We are only visiting Islands of Adventure and we are only going to be in Orlando for one day, we are actually be staying in Miami...

First off, welcome! Now, personally I would reccomend, going on the 6th because more people will be spending the whole day there on the 7th for HHN. There probably won't be a drastic difference anyway, but I think your best bet is to avoid HHN days. Either way, you should be able to easily do all of IoA's major rides, which are all incredible. I hope you have a great trip!

10am however if you do not reservation they will not let you in, well that was the case for us two weeks ago. Pick up a nice Brunch after 10 am is an alternative if you can eat anything from mid-morning....just not breakfast...good luck!!!

Oh good to see you back rinacee. Yes, they do finally have extendible ears and they aren't just for decoration, they supposedly work! lol... I hope I get to go sometime soon, my aunt says she wants to go to Orlando in December, so I might get to go then. The crowds would be awful but... lol... It's Harry freaking Potter xD...

Thank you, Frogki!
I'm so excited about them. I wonder how much they are! At the latest, I know I'll be there by January 15 (my birthday, which happens to be a Saturday!), so I hope they will still have some. I recently bought a Pygmy Puff off the online store and had it sent to my friend in another state for her birthday. I'll let you all know how that experience was when it eventually gets delivered.
I hope you get to go! It would be an inconvenient time to go with all the crowds...maybe I'm weird, but I kind of like braving the crowds at Christmastime. I haven't been to Uni in December/November...but I have been to multiple Disney parks. EPCOT is my favorite during the winter months.

Oh no problem lol... I hope I get to go soon too, but times are tight and I understand if my family can't afford it lol. I love Uni/IoA and Disney RIGHT after the initial holiday season is over and you just have cold air and empty parks. I like it when people are there though, and it's nice to see the parks for Christmas time lol... And glad that the extendible ears excite you, you really can use them, you just have to hide them well xD

Extendable ears were available for $19.99 I believe. They have a little microphone in the ear leading to a single earbud.
