So, am I the only one that didn't know about this little room next to the load area that apparently has a TV that plays the Potter movies while guests wait? Is this the child-swap setup or something?

A lot of child swaps play content related to the ride. Mummy plays The Mummy cartoon show, and Jurassic Park plays Land Before Time.

That's what the line that's furthest from the sorting hat is used for  For a child swap it's set up pretty nicely.

Does anyone know where I could get a technical drawing of the plan view elevation of Hogsmeade Village? The Google satellite aerial imagery isn't the best quality.. Thanks

An elevation is a view of a building from one of its sides:

I believe you are speaking of a ground plan. (this is an edited version to protect the guilty) :look:

Thank you so much Teebin! I really appreciate you finding it; I've been looking for a while. That plan is way better quality than any of the aerial shots I have seen. Thanks for correcting me about elevations, wording it that was a bit of an oxymoron.

You are very welcome! Now, speaking of elevations... I have never seen the Hogsmeade or Hogwarts elevations and we all know they were created. Perhaps I am alone, but I find architectural elevations soooooo compelling, especially the color sets and much more than a perspective painting or drawing. The Port of Entry elevations sent me into dreamy dream land even though it is already built!

Anyone have the contacts and bull-like-thingys to find and post them?

Ha! I was just about to come over and post that. My friend was on the ride this morning and texted me about this. He said it was a big improvement.

I'll be riding later and will let you know what I think

Harry Potter and the Time Vortex.

Got confirmation this morning it has changed. Good to see UO is updating a poor part of their headline attraction.

There are some early concept elevations for Hogsmeade/Hogwarts here:

There's also some cool stuff for other sections of IOA:

YES.
An actually accurate floo-powder segment. I might vomit from the beauty of the moment.

Also, in the dementor part where it shows your faces, it showed some weird oval thing with pegs in place of a face in seats where no one was sitting. Its kinda hard to describe. It was just blank before, right?

Oh ya, the scenes with the spiders and whomping willow seemed a lot darker. My friend even mentioned it after riding, and he doesn't go on as much as me.

^ That might have been due to him not having time to have adjusted his eyes to the dark. I don't think they'd lower lighting under any circumstance. In fact, both of those scenes need to lose the lightning and add in creepier sounds and more ominous lighting.

Also, apparently, if a face isn't registered, they become slender man. Simple.
