I know that many on here will disagree with me, but after seeing this picture......I really feel that DC's days are numbered. I'm not saying that it will close anytime soon, but I don't think that this coaster will be around in 4-6 years. I think that the world of JK Rowling has legs and we will see something associated with......or beyond Potter in its place eventually.

That south train station is a disaster. The noise from that coaster will kill any idea that you are leaving Hogsmeade. Talk about: "CoasterTown, USA is now departing for London"!

The sound of a train passing is going to ruin the being at a train station experience?

The sound of a coaster passing and all of the coaster-riders screaming their guts out will hinder the ambiance of the Hogwarts Express loading area and sound effects.

But it's not a roller coaster, it's a dragon

I'm sure the noise of the coaster passing by will last all of about one second

People need to get over Dragons being there. It's an original IOA ride, it has good capacity, it's still pretty popular, and it's a thrill ride the park needs. I don't think it's going anywhere soon and I truly hope we don't see more Potter after this unless its minor additions.

I am not sure what your intended meaning is...

I was referring only to the fact that the south station loading area should have a roof to shield it from external sounds. I have been told that either creative or WB or both have been concerned about it.

Did HTF not mention a while back that there were trees planning to be put in, between the train and the wall? Or was that scrapped?

yep, that was the original intent... To give you a wee bit of insight, one of the arrowed line items stated, "Platform Exterior to include live pine forest with dense vegetation". There was also a mega retaining wall planned halfway down the platform that would allow them to berm down to ground level. It almost looks as though the original track plans might have been on an incline from south to north (the south being far lower). Go back and look at the aerial photo (previous page)... there is no way they would have bermed that steep from the current platform.

So the trains are mirror images of each other with load/unload on a common center platform. I'm guessing you come up stairs to access this central platform, but what will the empty side of it look like? (the one without HE in it) Are they theming it to look like some form of a regular track, or will we lose the illusion of an actual train station platform? Also, I can't believe they won't cover the roof in some fashion. With the steam effect, etc. an enclosed space would provide a better visual.

There are no center platforms in the south station. If there is a center platform in the north station, it is something I am uninformed about. Seems unlikely though. It appears HTF is in Sochi watching pairs skating or Norwegian curling, otherwise, I think he might know.

Sorry if this was already mentioned! Does anybody know if they are keeping the Zonko's Facade in Hogsmeade? It is one of the most memorable stores in the books/movies and it would be a shame if it wasn't included as a least a facade.

Not my video, but if you pause at 1:16 you can see the turnstile building construction outside of the Hogsmeade Station
