Has the interior of Hogwarts ever been full? People get all photo crazy and pause in the statuary hall backing-up the outdoors queue.

during the popular months in summer the entire line can be full. I went during the grand opening and waited for an hour and a half in a line throughout Jurassic park just to get a ticket to get into Hogsmeade. Then it was about a 3 hour wait for FJ itself.... I dont know what I was thinking.

oh yeah I remember "OMFG HARRY POTTER!"

It's a poor human factors implementation. Taking guests out of a sunny, bright area and putting them in a dark basement makes it hard to see where to go. I know my way around that area really well and I have a hard time because of that. I don't blame guests at all for this as they seem to get and understand every other locker situation.

I talk to TM's often and tell them to put in a word to make the locker room just a little brighter. Even they think its too dark in there.

The funny part is Jo could care less about the money or the fame at this point. I think she lives to write this stuff and can't stop.

She has already expanded upon the wizarding world by listing and describing some of the schools around the world on Pottermore. I think we are going to see a series of trilogies. Each trilogy will cover the Wizarding World on a different continent.

Maybe writing a play was just something she wanted to cross off her bucket list. When you are as successful as she is you can indulge yourself. I honestly think she did it that way just because she wanted to.

Can I ask our members from the UK if theatre is held in higher esteem than films? Maybe that is why she agreed to a play?

She claimed that the reason was it was the best way to present it. She actually didn't write the whole thing herself, she helped two other writers who came to her with the idea of it. It's in two parts and it's caused some waves with casting. Also, I'm seeing things like the play being branded less as Harry Potter now and more as "J.K. Rowling's Wizarding World", which is definitely interesting.

Different medium to set it apart from the storytelling devices and tropes of a novel or film.

The play is already weeks into rehearsal shows open to the public on London's West End, with its grand opening happening soon. No guarantee yet that it will come to Broadway or elsewhere. But Rowling stated to worldwide fans, "You will see it."

it was way too short to be a Harry Potter book.. I know its a play, and its a script, but it should have never been a book

I was very disappointed in it but I'm just letting it go and getting on the hype train for the Fantastic Beasts film.

Only published as a money grab from the publisher due to demand of the fandom angered at the fact that the play wasn't accessible to the world at the same time.

Same reason they are officially releasing the script for Fantastic Beasts after it opens, just because fans want it in book form.

The continued success of Potter must make it ever more tempting to push ahead with phase 3 potter. It's easy money for them....they'd be mad at this point to not exploit that further, it'll pay for itself verrryyy quickly.

I'd say thought the play script makes more sense as not everyone can see a play like they can a movie (time, cost, location, times, etc). I have more issues with the play than I do with the release.
