My issue with that location is the fact of where Hippogriff will actually be located up against the Shrek building.  I agree this layout makes sense, but the truth is that Hippogriff would block this from happening.

Great use of Photoshop or whatever program you use!

But that would be a huge variation from what is already in Japan and Orlando. They both have Hippogriff hugging and in a way forming Hogwarts's rock structure which is how I designed my rendering to follow (i'm not saying i'm right, obviously you are much more informed). But it's curious, why would Hollywood put Hippogriff so far from the FB showbuilding? That frees up A LOT of land for something possibly additional.

I see your point.  Interesting.

I have had other thoughts on why this would not happen.  I also feel that Hogwarts Express is designed for a park hopper option and nothing more.  Similar to Beijing design, if we did get Diagon, it may lack Hogwarts Express.

Look at InsideUniversal's latest tweet!  The stonework on the Hogsmeade buildings is already coming up!  That was insanely fast :D

^^

It does show a version of Kings cross in the concept art for Bejing so lets wait till that opens to find further judgement.

I'm predicting that the left side of Hogsmeade, up to the Hog's Head and the right side up to the train station will be complete (but not open) by the time Springfield opens. The rest of the year will have the end of the street, Hippogriff and the castle facade being done at the look of it.

Can't believe stonework is already going up. This excites me more than it probably should.

InsideUniversal tweeted and Facebook posted even more construction pics of Wizarding World- just gets more and more exciting :D  It looks like the Hogwarts station to the right of the entrance is now built- just needs to be painted, stonework coming up and the entrance is really beginning to look like the Wizarding World Entrance!

*pinches William*

You're welcome!

It's becoming more and more easily recognizable, and as it becomes more fleshed out, the anticipation I going to be ridiculous and I'm gonna have a hard time walking by the construction wall without getting the urge to jump over!

I know that UOR has different projects on their slate at least until 2016, but I really hope they don't open Wizarding World in USH along with a (future) announcement of Potter phase 3 in Orlando. That would be such a demeaning, bordering-on-taunting insult and would make me feel kind of embarrassed for the park. The Diagon Alley stuff back in summer made me feel a tad uneasy but overall it's warmed over and I can truly feel excited about this project again... but that possibility still kind of unnerves me.

I just hope we get to enjoy at least one year of Potter without the fact that everyone else has more shoved moreso in our face.

And yes I fully expect Japan to have already announced Diagon well before spring 2016.

I've heard rumors about a possible "Ministry of Magic" addition to Diagon Alley.  But with both Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade/ Hogwarts already in two parks, don't you think that may be enough for Universal already?  While Potter has proven to be insanely popular and revolutionary for Universal, do you think guests would start complaining of having "too much" Harry Potter?  Since Japan doesn't have two parks I honestly doubt there will be a Diagon Alley.  It works perfectly in Florida since they have Potter in two parks with Hogwarts Express connecting, but Japan only has one park.  I actually still think that could work well in Hollywood if they are able to extend the Lower Lot for a "Diagon Alley" so people take the Hogwarts Express to avoid taking the starway.

Japan is looking to build a 2nd park. So if that happens, that's probably where it will be located.

Japan's really looking to build a second park!?  Do you have any ideas what would be there?

Nope. Diagon Alley is rumored and this new resort will supposedly have a casino. It also may or may not be in Osaka.

Huh, interesting.  If it's not in Osaka though, wouldn't be frighteningly expensive to connect Diagon Alley to Hogsmeade with the Hogwarts Express though?

They don't have to connect them.

Anyways back on topic, I'm glad to see Hogsmeade slowly coming to life.

Oh absolutely!  Hogsmeade's actually being built up quite fast if you ask me, considering it's opening in Spring 2016!

I'd find it disappointing if a second park in Tokyo was in a totally different location. It'd be nice to have them nearby to be one large resort. But I guess space is an issue over there.

Regarding our Wizarding World, yeah, construction is very fast now! But even with 2016, there's a ridiculous amount of details they need to add and to test.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm fairly sure an opening season hasn't been indicated yet. While we've only been told "2016," it's solely an assumption at this point that the land will open within the first half of the year.
