The sightlines must definitely be eerie in the employee ("Take 5") cafeteria, which used to give you a full view of the Gibson, Curious George and all other assorted stuff. (it's on the second level of a backstage building) Now team members can start their shift off right: with a burger and a great view of dirt. Lots and lots and lots of dirt.

I do wonder when Potter construction starts really going if they'll cover up those windows.

I guess that's our first good look at the new extra space In the park. Can't wait to see USH grow.

Actually, not quite! I went last night and there's still a chunk left over near the Studio Tour loading area. Other than that, gone. Walking through the Simpsons Plaza is super eerie; the sightline is insanely different now. I saw a bunch of colorful lights and structures in the back and kept wondering what it was. It took me a few minutes to realize I was looking at CityWalk! Curious George and Studio Souvenirs have been completely flattened, and the minion billboard has finally been taken out. It's still weird to me.

It's hard to believe that just a month or two ago, the area was nothing but lively. No more kids dumping buckets of water. No more Studio Tour gifts to buy near its actual entrance. No more Bruce. No more Flintstones games. Odd to say the least...

The view from the employee walkway next to the aformentioned Take 5 Cafeteria rapidly changed, too. Only a couple months back, structures and trees blocked the entirety of the park. Now you can see clear across to the Starway entrance from what is essentially right next to Waterworld. (!!!) Needless to say, this is now infuriating a lot of lower lot employees who just want to cut straight thru instead of winding thru the park.  :P

It's a pain in the neck for guests, too. Before, there were a few paths you could pick to get from one end of the Upper Lot to the other. Now, you find yourself in a bottleneck that is the path between Production Central and The Flintstones BBQ. That certainly got screwed up last night at HHN when a guest happened to throw up in that path.. twice..

You're welcome! :P

I literally was disoriented from seeing the upper lot and the HEAVY Potter excavation. Like...I haven't been to the park since the day before they started tearing apart the Gibson and it's mind boggling how the upper lot looks. The Potter site looks HUGE.

So are they still tearing things down in the Curious George site? What's that grey semi-structure in the middle of all that dirt?
