Great q. I don't know anything about that. I always assumed he was only moved for the new entrance and would return in the new building. Is Mr. Potato Head going away or just moved somewhere?

Mr. Potatohead will return.
I'll be back!
Why do I think of the strangest things when I'm bored..
These aerials really make you understand how small TSL is compared to what SWL will be.
TSL is 12 acres while SWL is 14. Not really a huge difference. If i'm interpreting it right, it looks like SWL will be about twice the size of TSPL.

A lot of the reason the SWL construction area seems bigger is because of the remaining part of Streets of America is behind construction walls. That area will not be part of SWL though. Also there's a giant plot that is for expansion and won't be used at opening.Yikes, i assumed SWL was going to be significantly bigger.

The giant berm is the expansion plot.Could it also be that the giant berm separating the two lands will be considered part of SWL?
Interesting, so do you think they would build on top?The giant berm is the expansion plot.
I don't know anything about the future of that area except that it's where a third attraction is planned to be built.Interesting, so do you think they would build on top?

During the media event this week Bob Chapek announced that he's going to announce the opening date of TSL at the D23 Expo (July 14-16).
Educated Guess: Somewhere between May 23-26, 2018. Likely May 25th.
Nearly 3 years after it was first announced. It is what it is, and that's a pretty standard timeframe for Disney, but I don't think we're getting anything worth a wait of that length.
Needed some filler rides.
