The truck never, ever moves. Nor it was ever supposed to. Transformers has absolutely zero moving props in the entire attraction. Sure there's fog, lighting, heat, water and sensory effects built in, but no prop mechanics or anything. Just screens.

What you're confused by is the illusion of the truck moving. They achieve this easily: the RV is on a curve which moves subtly to lock in place for it to have the motion base swing around and immediately head downwards on the track. The image coincides with this by changing the angle ever so slightly to match the vehicle movements, with the back half of the truck seen onscreen moving along with it while the prop (front half) is stationary. So it looks like it is moving subtly if you really aren't paying too much attention. I can guarantee that repeat visits will probably destroy the effect for you as you get more used to the ride experience.

Onto Florida: interesting. Looks like their queue may be a little longer than what was rumored.

Could've sworn the physical truck prop moves! I thought I even saw it move in one of the behind the scenes videos! Hmmph! Fooled me then, hu? Hahaha

In general, it doesn't totally bug me that we don't get the luxuries Florida, Singapore and Japan do. Honestly, it's little elements like this that are thrown in that bug me. I mean, come on.. How awesome is this Optimus statue??!

It's just that there are certain elements where it's like "oh come ON, how much more expensive would it have been to let us have that little detail???" So frustrating

Well...there it is indeed. Haha

I see no difference. Is it a little brighter maybe? Idk. That facade though....

I can't tell if it's crisper....it could just be the camcorder that filmed it...

In the end, the ride itself is basically identical to ours. Their exterior, however, is far more detailed. That's what really upsets me.

I just realized that the heat effect only uses smoke and heat because it is cheaper to use. Like Jaws, very expensive for the park to run fire. And also having Megatron shoot at you with smoke feels more fitting.

That's one of the things that totally bothers me. It should've definitely been real fire at that moment. It's cheaper and probably has to do with maintenance but I think it also has to do with fire code laws and permission, etc. Maybe that's why our Mummy never got fire either, "green is Universal". But Florida didn't get fire in their Forbidden Journey ride or in transformers either, so I'm not sure what the exact reasoning is but I wish it had fire....

Simply put, trying to create a short and controlled burst of fire flame thrower style to spit towards guests is ridiculously dangerous. The slightest computer error can kill someone. I'm glad there's not real fire coming from Megatron. Its asking for trouble. For that scene at least, the fire is impractical.

Yeah. I always had a that thought too. How's does Spider-Man use fire in one of the scenes?

Spiderman has much more room to work with than Transformers. Their fire scene is completely isolated from other effects. Our elements are stacked on top of each other, which makes fire impractical.

Personally speaking, I'm always a huge fan of fire. That risk factor always adds an element of surprise and suspense.

They could've had Megatron misfire and shoot something else and have it explode with real fire to the side/away from the vehicle. Similar to Spiderman. There's still enough room in that room that they could've done it. And they could've still incorporate the heat blast.I also never got that part of the ride anyway....

So, Megatron shoots us with this dangerous little bomb-like thing that in 3D comes RIGHT at us, and it explodes above us with heat and smoke. It doesn't make that much sense considering how dangerous it is. I would've preferred a fire explosion to the side that we see. More of a wow factor. It wasn't impossible if they designed it right...trust me.

I love fire effects so damn much!

Of course it's possible...but the question is whether or not it's worth it.

Remember, that room is filled with different effects. Spiderman has its fire effects isolated, as does Revenge of the Mummy in Florida. Look up at the ceiling next time you're at Transformers, and you'll see how impractical it is.

It's possible, but it's very obvious they didn't design for it...nor should they have to. For me, fire isn't make or break. It's a nice effect to have - sure - but Universal has fire effects located elsewhere if you're looking for it.

I think they could've very easily designed it to work, and it would've been incredible. It doesn't make or break it for me, but it would've put the ride over the top for me.
