My problem with FLE has never been, and will never be that it's too kiddy. It's Fantasyland. My problem is that it's a colossal "meh" project. Nothing worthwhile or exciting to be found in it, especially now that the mine train has been widdled down to a shell of its original plans.

But nice try.

I had no idea either. It was panned critically across the board. There were even some claims of offensive material in the movie. But when your budget is $63 million, it's not terribly impressive. But not really much of a flop either

It's not too impressive but considering there's only 3 movies in the entire current Top 20 box-office that have crossed the $100 mil mark, it's nothing to scoff at either.

Considering Universal doesn't do daytime parades, it's definitely a step in the right direction for them, along with the new nighttime show, 3D attraction for USF, HD update to one of their biggest rides, plus new Blue Man Group show and stores all set to open this year.

Sorry if people think a new Dumbo, omnimover, restaurant, and princess meet and greet is "meh" too.

I stand by my earlier assertion that day parades are for kids. I'm indifferent towards them, but I realize they do add to the experience for families. This was an important step for Universal in becoming a well-rounded resort.

Which is perfectly acceptable. Not everything has to appeal to everybody, or be up to everybody's standards. We all have our opinions, and our opinions can change. There's no need to get personal ;-)

lulz. I'm not a troll dude. Just bringing balance to the conversation. The often very Pro-Uni conversation when it comes to you (As you don't like anyone saying a damned bad thing about dear ole Uni). I just find it funny as you call people who do the same thing with WDW "Pixie Dusters", but when you or Justice do it with Uni, it's suddenly different? lulz.

False. I say many negative things about Universal. For one, I've said many a time they can't do a live show to save their life right now. I've also complained about lack of a parade and a night show and entertainment like Disney has. Two things they are addressing now. I've also called the KidZone area a nexus od sucky theming and mostly suck attractions. Their lack of a resort at a lower price point is also a negative that will hopefully be addressed some point soon. But they're at least attempting to address some of those issues and continue to be aggressive in the wake of their Potter success.

But please, by all means continue to talk out your ass. You seem very adept at it.

lol, this has nothing to do with disney. I don't know why you think it does. It has to do with you thinking uni can do no wrong (In general conversation though, you defend them to the death, even against the stupidest things. I agree they are thriving right now, but people are allowed to have opinions and sometimes, yes sometimes they may make a few mistakes. Perfectly acceptable, we all do. My problem is people like you who try to cover those for no reason and say it's all perfect and UNI is amazing.

I know you're gonna try and insult e again bc that's how you talk your way out of all situations, but whatever. Happy Monday!

He made the mistake of posting it and some of us saw his post, including Skip who rightfully replied to it. But NBT did edit it quickly and tried to stop the argument there. I say we resolve apologies over PM and move on...

I have been trying to get people ready for this reality. People just seem to see the concept art, and think it is going to be the next Splash Mountain... When in reality it is a roller skate with custom cars that goes around a dirt mound with a few show scenes.

Mine Train has been cut to one show scene, as far as I've been told.

One show scene, which I think is the mine scene with the dwarfs. Other than that, the view will be mostly outside of the mermaid area and some scenery around the mine train ride. I wouldn't call that impressive.

Sorry I was counting the staging of some animals on the hill as scenes unless those have been cut too. It has been a while since I got a full update on the details of this attraction.

I dislike parades. One more reason to hold out on my Uni trips until HHN.

I'm only counting the one inside show scene. I think it involves the dwarfs in the mine doing some mining. we may be inside a second show scene but I think it is only rockwork with shining diamonds. As for the outside scenes, I am not sure is anything was cut. I just view them as outside scenery, not so much a show scene. But, I guess it could be included as a show scene. So, maybe 2 real scenes at most.

Found out: 2 show scenes at the most. Was three, but now cut to two.
