I wonder if express is even needed for this event? I was thinking of just doing general with early access.

If you can't decide what to wear... you can always get a Star Trek crew member shirt from the Citywalk nerd store next to the Cinema/Toothsome

Of course the Studio Store in Citywalk has multiple Wicked options as well for your attire decision making. Didn't get a pic though lol

Hot Topic has plenty of anime shirts, including One Piece & Jujutsu Kaisen if you want to represent without much effort.

It’s starting to scare me that there doesn’t seem to be any footage or idea of what the activations will be like.

Still excited, but given I’m flying from Florida for it and not into cosplay, I’m hoping it’s worth it.

I mean it's still early. Construction is happening as we speak so I get why they haven't yet. We probably won't get anything till next month closer to opening night

It's likely because they aren't show-ready yet... but I can tell you that the Star Trek and Dungeons and Dragons experiences, at the very least, should be substantial.

They probably lost a clip during a file transfer. When they found out they were probably like “Ugh just reuse a clip. No one will notice.”

Big thing of note is that this seems to be the first time USH has done a flat out "Dining" pass for a seasonal event. I wonder if this is successful; if they carry over the dining pass idea for HHN later in the fall.

Kind of surprised Nintendo got very little, even compared to Harry Potter(?)

I'll be looking forward to the BTTF stuff! I also like the clever choice of putting the BTTF food in Mel's Diner alongside throwing in "Doc Brown's Chicken Pot Pie"

I definitely want that fireball (brownie) now, and I can hear Luffy's meat in a bone and the Devil Fruit concha calling my name! Might be interested in Yuji's chocolate Brownie and the Outatime cookie as well!

But first and foremost, my eyes are on the Yoshi menu! I would've liked to have seen the carbonara from USJ brought over as well, but hey, the fettuccine alfredo's something! :P

Honestly I'm not wow'd by the food options. Some of it comes off as trying too hard, other stuff just doesn't sound enticing at all. Not everything needs to be the winning dish of a food competition.

With this not being a horror event, I do wonder how many families/kids will be attending. With the current food line-up, its not exactly "kid/picky eater friendly". And I'm sure most of this stuff will be pre-made to grab/serve, so if a guest has any type of food allergy to an ingredient, they're kinda screwed.

Oh well, at least I'll save money lol.. to be fair, i haven't been impressed by a lot of the event food options for quite some time..

Epic Universe food offerings though... yes please!

I feel like when it comes to food options, I think this is one area Disney greatly excels in. They know how to served themed food that doesn’t try to hard and (most importantly) tastes GOOD. I’m not saying this is going to be bad, the food options look good. But i feel like the simpler food options with a bit of a flavor twist are more appealing in my book.

Also for the love of all things sacred to eating.. can we stop with the insistence of "spicy/chili".

Look, I'm the first to load my food at home with Japanese chili powder (Togorashi) & chili-oil to the point of "oops".

BUT all the parks seem to think the spicy, chili, flammin, etc is a "must use" ingredient.

I work at a high school, and spicy food continues to be an extremely popular snack with the students. Personally, I think it's crazy myself, but it definitely has an audience that shows no sign of slowing down.

I semi-disagree that Disney has better food offerings for their special events. The last few I tried, I was mostly underwhelmed, and even when it was good, it was such a small portion for such a huge price.

That said, Universal's past food offerings didn't strike me as super memorable, either. I have some cautious optimism for these food items... at least they are trying many new things.

For my money, the best food events are Knott's with the Boysenberry Festival.

I wonder when media preview is for the Star Trek + D&D experiences. I'd imagine they would want to do something similar to what was done with HHN, where media and journalists have the chance to see what's behind the curtain on these experiences.
