There's no way that Comcast would partner up with an Indian tribe to make a casino. This is a company that makes 75 billion in revenue a quarter. It's not going to go down the really sketchy path of scamming Native Americans to make a quick buck. The publicity would be detrimental and it wouldn't make all that much money for the hassle.

But but after the Seminole's opened their casino in south FL, they bought the Hard Rock chain. They already have a deal with them. I think the UOR hotel is the only one in the chain that does not have a casino. Heck, they have Loews run the UOR hotel for them.

Chief Billie knows what he is doing and his tribe has done rather well since being allowed gaming under their Solvern Nation status.

I imagine, even before the Seminols took over, that the Hard Rock Hotel was built at UOR at a time when someone thought gaming would come to FL.

Less than half of Hard Rock Hotels contain casinos. I think the one at UOR is one of two or three that are licensed and not owned and operated though.

With the height of the train added (for evacuation purposes) we use 70' as the measure for Contemporary. It's all good! :D

I actually got to participate in an monorail evacuation exercise for the Contemporary, it was definitely one of the more interesting ones!

Won't happen.

Would be nice to have one in Orlando though.

Unlimited food, drink (alcoholic/non-alcholic), and room including with hotel price. Essentially outside of what you decide to buy in the park and out in town, you don't have to worry about anything else as its covered.

Besides legal reasons, a Casino won't be coming to Universal because Casino's attract...um...unwanted clientele.

Seriously. I have no problems with casinos but the Hard Rock Hotel is beautiful as it is. Why ruin it?

To be fair the Hard Rock in Tampa is very nice. The clientele doesn't seem to be an issue either.

Actually from my experience the Tampa Hard Rock seems much nicer than the Universal one.

My point is, running a Casino is no joke. Lots of money involved, I doubt Uni wants to deal with that.

And I used to live in Tampa, I know a lot of slimeballs that would go there. Most people that gamble aren't the type of people Uni wants. Not to mention the rampant credit card fraud that goes on at Casinos. That's how a lot of people get their money to gamble with...stolen identity. I've seen far too many news stories living there for me to think this is a good idea.

I agree they already have theme parks driving the business there's no reason to get into the complicated casino business.

Casino's are not the end all they once were. Lots of them struggle now. There's so many of them just about everywhere.

Which makes a vacation to Orlando very very close nit for a family. Orlando plans to keep it that way.

City of Orlando Planning Division was touring the parks and curiously the intersection where you enter for parking a few days ago. I've never heard of this happening before.

I was chatting with a bar man at Disney about how universal were expanding and pumping a ton of cash into their resort, the conversation got on to the new land purchase and boy did he get defensive "ah they'll never be able to build on that dump off land" and "universal will always be playing catch up".

What is our it with folk lol, seriously blinded by pixie dust.

Can't wait till they break ground or release plans for that land, I'll be sure to head back for a smug pint
