Really sorry for using this thread but I didn't want to start a new one. Just got a phone interview for next week for an engineering internship at Universal and was wondering if anyone here had any tips or some insight on what the phone interviews are like for Universal. I'm really excited!

Fun stuff. Do you already have an engineering degree in something?

Excellent, you will be respected if you do well in the interview. Be laid back but serious, friendly and open to all ideas and you should do well. That is not me, but a description of everyone I know who are at or near the top of their game in the industry. For what it is worth!

Am I the only one that received a survey about a "possible" third theme park from Universal? I think they're actually considering building a new park! That's exciting!

I am intrigued by this survey. Based on the comments of a few of the "insiders" who took the survey, I'm very excited to see all the new hotness that's coming down the pike!

Was this the survey that mentioned a third park? The other site is all a buzz about it. They were quite logical about it being listed as "CONFIDENTIAL" in that it was ludicrous. Universal knew that everyone would talk about it, especially AP holders. So what was that junk really about... what were they trying to determine?

I think they were really just trying to gauge interest in a new park. (Maybe try to steal some more press from Disney too!)
Of course I'd eat up another highly themed Universal theme park...especially if its around the level of Disneysea.

To clarify, I don't take much stock in the survey. It has been my observation that Universal does stuff like this a year after they have already begun designing it out. Diagon is a good example of this. They hardly needed the survey they did a year after Hogsmeade opened to figure out that people wanted more Potter. Silly silly silly.

(oops, I almost typed something right here that I decided wouldn't be prudent right yet. Auh gone!)

I believe @JungleSkip and one or two others were saying that they thought the survey was just using the pretense of a third park to gather opinions on what type of attractions they should build in the future.

The survey did not mention a third park. It's being inferred. I fee confident to say that without breaking confidentiality.

yep, it was all a hypothetical dream your best park scenario. It's just easier to say, "third park". I take it all as a "trust but verify" exercise.

For me, it is a bit like asking, "are we sure they all want a free Mercedes S-Class???". :)

Is zero an option? As a former new Mercedes owner (who also dated a girl who worked in the service department of that same Mercedes dealer), I wouldn't even SELL my "free Mercedes S-Class" to someone. I'd never sleep again out of guilt/shame if I did. Garbage automobiles.

Wait, what were we talking about? Oh yeah, confidential survey hotness about new Universal goodies (possibly) coming down the road!

DeLoreans were the most non-supercar of any of the supercars ever built. They had Volvo station wagon 6 cylinder motors. 0-60 in, like, 8.8 seconds. My '82 RX-7 did it in 6.6.
