Deacon's Speech being in here makes me very happy. Waterworld's soundtrack is criminally underrated. Plus it gives us another little taste of Hollywood, with that being the preshow music for the stunt show!

Journey to the Island is my favorite piece of film score, as it covers so many emotions and iconic themes in one track. Amazing.

Journey to the Island is my favorite piece of film score, as it covers so many emotions and iconic themes in one track. Amazing.

It gets most remembered for the big, iconic statements of the island and dinosaur themes, but people often forget about all the other sections (the flight pre-island, the traveling section after landing, and the arrival at the Visitor's Center) that are distinctive and add a ton of personality. Williams is throwing little motifs in there that could be main themes in somebody else's score, but they're just transitional color for him!

It's probably the greatest continuous 9 minutes in any score.
