No, they closed it all this year. If I remember correctly, they left it open last year.

Mercy, that tells me that this isn't a typical seasonal refurb. It suggests they are going to rehab the railings and repaint applicable walkways etc., etc., etc..

Noticed quite a bit more parade lighting yesterday. Notice that the units are mounted on lift tables so they can be raised when needed and then lowered out of site .

I looked through some old shots and you are correct. Although, it appears they opened the path before the rest of the ride. I must have also gone at that time.

They keep impressing with how much refurbishment attention they are paying to these 2nd tier areas. While this top notch treatment is now common in Anaheim, this is pretty unique for Orlando right now. Areas of EPCOT show the same wear that they did in 2010.

They do! I agree I never thought I would give 2 seconds of thought to a bathroom renovation, but the NY one looks great.

As per the Universal Orlando website:

And yeah, Bluto's seems to be getting a very detailed rehaul. But they do pump 200,000 gallons of water through the ride every minute.

Nope. January/February/March usually see Popeye, Dudley, and JPRA go down for some time.
