I don't know everything about this show, but I do know some things, and what I have heard makes this show different and what sounds like it will be fun. No, you're right that it's not the biggest or any "est" but why does it have to be for us to all approve it and like it?
Why does it HAVE to be bigger than World of Color? Does that make it good? If all you care about is constantly being impressed by scale and don't care about content then ok. I for sure don't see it that way.
It used to be the same thing with coasters. For years, parks battled to have the tallest or longest coaster, and then one day someone decided to just get back to making something fun and we got great coasters like Maverick and Outlaw Run and Full Throttle. None of those compete for any prize yet are fun and incredibly enjoyable attractions. Now we are in a renaissance of good and fun coasters around the world where the theme and experience come first.
For this show, if it has a great story or experience that makes me feel good and emotional, then it is a success. It doesn't matter if it has less fountains, size, whatever. The fact is, Universal hasn't made a good night show before, ever. From everything many of us have heard, this will be both the first real nighttime show by any measure, and people believe it will be good. Already that's a huge win on the first account. We'll see on the second, but I'm going to remain optimistic until I see it.
I'm for sure not going to pan them during construction because I saw some pictures without context and assume it's going to disappoint me.
