Who is this In the Loop guy? I had never seen his videos before. He’s an excellent talker.

I’ve been following him for a while, he’s great if you want to keep up to date on the parks.

Saw the fountains yesterday, and boy are they an eyesore. Hopefully the water level really raises high, or I’m gonna be wishing for the days of the barges.

I get that, and I'm hoping that the water level COMPLETELY hides the fountains.

Here’s something they can do. Fully submerge the fountain in the lake during day time, and when the show is about to come on raise the fountains right below the water level because I don’t think the fountains can work that well with them fairly deep under water.

It won't. Nozzles will always partially be out of water just like the last show. Not that big of a deal.

World of Color has a 30 million dollar platform that hides the fountains by submerging them, but as you see from recent news.. that's also it's downfall apparently.

That is a HUGE engineering task. An underwater mechanism that stable that can raise and lower is expensive. World of Color's platform alone was close to 30 million and it barely works.

The original reason Disney built a moving platform was to be able to raise the fountains out of the water for maintenance. Since they were building a moving platform anyway, they decided to make it to where the fountains could be hidden during the day.

I assume where the lights are means the water will be just below the lights. Although the lights could be fully submerged, as that is how Fantasmic originally worked at Disneyland.

Honestly If they are slight visable I’m fine bc ours is way more bearable than WoC.

That's WoC's maintenance position though isn't it? They aren't usually that visible.

Edit: Evan beat me to it.

This isn't show level...The water line will be much higher, look at the black fan/screen fountains...It should come up to the bottom of that

31 days out and still no real official announcement. You have to wonder if Universal are having a PR problem behind the scenes.
